SDCB432 Posted February 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2016 Going on an Alaska Cruise (Glacier Bay) on the Crown Princess in August and read something about a "behind the scenes" tour. It said you have to book when you get on the ship. Do they always happen or do they sometimes get cancelled? There is only one at sea day. Any help? :) Thanks! Tall Stacks Posted February 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2016 We did this tour the week of February 7 on the Regal Princess. We signed up at Passenger Services as soon as we boarded, which was around 11:30. We were the last two they took as the page was full. Met a couple on the B2B and they told us they tried to sign up, but had to take the tour for the following week as our tour was full. I believe they only do it once during the cruise, cost is $150 per person and it is one of my favorites tours I have ever taken. Lasted three hours, so be prepared...no sitting and no bathroom breaks. It is called the UST - Ultimate Ship's Tour.
capriccio Posted February 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2016 It is called the Ultimate Ship Tour, costs $150 per person, and, in our estimation, is well worth it. SDCB They require at least four and not more than 12. Northbound it his held on the day between Glacier Bay and College Fiord. We did it southbound last year . The tour started around 10AM. We got a lot items that evening from the tour. They gave us the following 1 - A Group Picture from every area we visited 2 - Picture frame for pictures 3 - Bathrobe 4 - Writing pad with our name printed on the paper. If the number is over they try and hold a second tour or a raffle to chose the passengers.
