roquejo Posted March 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2016 I'll be sailing Norwegian Jade to the Greek Isles so all ports are tendered. I've booked the ship's shore excursion to avail of the credits but most of them end in town so you have to go back to the ship on your own via tender boats. My question is: Is the priority tender benefit applies also going back to the ship that you have a different shorter line to the tenders heading back to the ship? This will be helpful during the rush hours closer to all aboard time. Or they only give that benefit going out of the ship towards the shore, which is already a redundant benefit for those who have booked the ship's excursion. karoo Posted March 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2016 It's only when leaving the ship. Returning you just line up with all the other guests.
roquejo Posted March 2, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted March 2, 2016 Hmm..Not that useful going out of the ship as if you book the ship's shore excursions, you already have priority tendering.
kchiumento Posted March 2, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2016 I never really needed it getting back to the ship. It was the really long lines getting off the ship where I found it necessary. I think many excursions end at staggered times during the day. But I could have just been lucky a time or two. Enjoy your cruise.
Demonyte Posted March 2, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2016 Only few times I've seen priority tendering coming back has been at the end of the day at large tendering ports like Grand Cayman and GSC where the staff has picked Haven passengers out of the regular (and very long) queue to bypass it. Never experienced that myself as a platinum member nor is that available for people with ship sponsored excursions.

If you are in line for the tender at all aboard time you will not be left behind and you will not be yelled at for being late. Don't worry about the lines just enjoy Greece! casofilia Posted March 2, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2016 Only useful going ashore when you want to off early for a self prepared shorex. Not used going back on board. Mike
flipper32 Posted March 2, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2016 On the Getaway in Grand Cayman we there was a huge line for the tenders to the ship, at least 45 minutes. I was staying in Haven and was able to walk to the front of the line.
