Pacific Pearl to leave P&O next year

Will you miss her?

I have mixed feelings, I enjoyed my cruise on her but I think it is a good time to refresh the fleet.

I'm so sad about this, Pearl is my favourite P&O ship. :(

A reasonable time to move on, especially as they have newer ships to replace her.

Its sad to hear about the Pacific Pearl leaving P&O :(

 

We have done 4 cruise on Pacific Pearl.

 

When she arrived in Auckland I was lucky enough to be able to do a tour of her before she was christened in Auckland :D. and it was cool that P&O did their first naming in Auckland!. :cool:

 

Hopefully one day P&O will do that again!.

 

Now to see if we can do another cruise on the Pacific Pearl before she leaves! (Would l o v e to do her last cruise!).

what makes me most sad is it appears that the Jewel will only be based her for 2 months, rather than the previous 5. I hope they have plans to change this

Over the last few years the seasons have been quite short for NZ cruises from Auckland.

We have basically have given up with P&O we went with Royal Carribean and with the savings on the cruise it more than covers the return fares to Sydney.

I suggest to give it a go.

Cruises from Auckland are OK price wise with their last minute deals.

This ship has been sold to Cruise and Maritime and will sail from Tilbury UK under the name Columbus from June 2017.

We felt the same way when she was Ocean Village and left for southern climes in 2010. I'm glad you have enjoyed sailing on her, now we're looking forward to sailing on her again! A reversal of your loss our gain! :)
