Here are some photos from the Yacht Club onboard the sistership of MSC Divina, the MSC Preziosa. The ships are similar, just different decors and a larger waterpark/waterslide on the MSC Preziosa. The MSC Yacht Club is great, we keep coming back and back:) Have a look in my photothread here:

Can you have non YC guest to your cabin in the YC?

I don't think so. Even if you escort them in once they are in they can't go to the lounge or pool. You would be surprised that the staff knows who is who quickly and so do the guest.

You can go to their room.

There has been mention of non-YC guests purchasing day passes, can't remember the price but it didn't come cheap. There are also reports of guests being granted permission to show non-YC people their cabin, and then leave the YC.

I don't expect to bring guest to the public YC areas but I would certainly expect to have whomever I want in my cabin!

Well then why ask just do it.

BTW nothing in the YC is "public". Your guest in your room can drink and eat free because that is included in YC.

I'm not sure if they still do it but they had a set # of day passes to purchase for the YC.

Other guests have paid for exclusivity and not to have anybody and everybody allowed in, and their wishes have to be taken in to consideration as well as your wishes.

Most of the time - NO, however, if you ask the concierge they may give you permission to have them in your cabin only. Just don't be disappointed if they say no to your request. There are security cameras all over the YC and they know who belongs there and who doesn't.

I think a non-YC guest must have friend/family in the YC in order to purchase a day pass and I think the price was $150 and this did give them access to all YC areas.

When i said public, I meant open to all YC guests. I would not try to bring anyone to these common areas.

I don't see how having a guest in my cabin infringes on anyones exclusivity.

My cabin is private, as is everyone else's. It is none of my business who is someones cabin and non of their business who is in mine. And no I would not serve them free drinks. As far as i know, there is no food in the cabin so not sure what you mean by free food.

In Haven on NCL I can bring guest to my cabin but not the common Haven areas..I had my non haven family in to my suite for breakfast, and also one afternoon when it was raining we played trivia in my room for a few hours.

There was no reason for other haven guests to know or care who was in my room.

You have a stocked mini bar with the items you request. Just like you had people in your Haven room for breakfast you can get food to your room other then the few items already in there, there are snack items, several bottles of water and we would bring a few items back to the room from the lounge. IJS.

I could care less who people have in their room and your right it's nobodies business. I'm just answering the question, it's come up before several people have asked if non-YC family members and friends can hang out with them in the YC. Like I said before just bring who you want to your room why bother to ask here if your going to do it anyway? Actually if you are able to do it without issue post it in the forum that way we would know it truly is possible.

If I may contribute some content, here are some videos from my recent sailing on the MSC Preziosa YC. The full review link in my signature.

The Top Sail lounge and One Pool bar area is an incredible perk. The following videos show you why.

I am having drinks and snacks after dinner.

After our day in Palermo, we return to the YC and head to the One Pool Bar for some food and drink. Here is what I ate.

On the Preziosa, they do afternoon tea, everyday, 5pm to 6pm.

Yet another day, I have snacks and drinks at the lounge.

What are the selection of drinks, you may be wondering? This video tells you the answer. (at least for MSC Preziosa)

If you are wondering what is available in the in-room mini-bar, wonder no more. (all complimentary)

Oh boy did we have lots of fun with the mini-bar.

You guys are awesome. I was ready to ask some of the same questions and poof the answers are here and just what I wanted to hear.

We too are looking to try MSC. The YC sounds wonderful and the prices cant be beat. We will be Platinum at the end of our Escape cruise in October so I think after that I will call and see what MSC can do with their loyalty program and go from there.

Just wanted to say thank you to all of those who are answering the questions

We are Platinum with NCL and became MSC Black, their best, as part of their Loyalty Program. That appears to be the normal conversion.:D:D

Has anyone done a Meet & Greet type of event on MSC? My roll call was asking about that and we'd like to arrange one and wondered if anyone knew how. We will be on Divina on March 12 and I'm in the yacht club so if I could contact the concierge, I suppose I could do it but don't know how or is there someone else I should contact?

We had a Meet and Greet on the Divina a couple of years ago. It was set up by the ship and announced in the Daily program. I don't know if that's how they still do it. The cruise director was there and she was great. Unfortunately she had to deal with a couple of people who had problems with their cabin and only came to the Meet and Greet to complain. She took this in stride and did help them. Only a small portion of those people who had been writing online showed up and that was a shame. I met someone who was in the Yacht Club and he convinced me that I should try it. I have a reservation for the Yacht Club on the Seaside in 2018. Edited by CTBob

Thank you for your reply. We had a woman pull the same thing on a CC Cabin Crawl on NCL. It was so obnoxious and I'm not even sure she was a CC member as her name was not on our roll call list and we didn't have a name tag for her.

HI - one question

how about noise from the top if you have a room at the yacht club, any experience?

We've stayed on deck 16 of the YC twice(16008 and 16009) and both times we could hear the deck chairs being set up in the morning at the One Pool on deck 18. We didn't mind it as we are early risers,,but it may annoy those who are not.

I stayed on 16 also and could hear the pool chairs being arranged above. It didn't really bother me in most cases I was already up about 7am if I remember correctly.

The pool is on 18 but there is no floor 17 so don't get confused. 17 to the Italians is unlucky like 13 is for Americans.

hopefully later ...., been in a suite at RCCL, removed deckchair at 3 for cleaning, back in position at 5, no sleep all night...

if I'll pay so much more to have a suite, I'd like to sleep at night...., they may clean at 10 to 11pm or so.....
