In 2017 we will be celebrating 50th anniversary and 70th birthday for both. Have selected an Alaskan cruise in September on Norwegian Pearl. Mini-suite aft of ship. Have plenty of time to change if desired. Anyone have any comments or suggestions. First time cruisers.

Congrats on both occasions. Alaska is a great way to celebrate.

On Glacier Bay Day be in the observation lounge early so you can get a good seat near a window and can listen to the National Park Ranger give their talk. It is very informative and they help everyone spot wildlife along the way

We love Alaska and are looking at booking another on as we speak

Have fun

Hi there and welcome. Congratulations on the celebrations! I'm sure you will all have lots of fun.

I am going to give you a few links to other forums; the reason is that we have individual boards for specific cruise lines, so I will give you a link to the Norwegian cruise line board and you can re-post this there or just read through the threads and click on the ones you want to read. I will also give you the link for the Search function results for all threads Norwegian Pearl - that will help you get to know the ship and may answer any questions you have specifically. Also, the link to the Alaska board is helpful, to read up on excursions and things to do in your ports. Here you go:

It is great that you have booked so early so you now have time to do all of the planning to add to your overall experience.
