NCL - Escape

I've cruised many times but have never booked with NCL. We are considering a cruise on Escape. Just a few questions...

1. Is the deposit refundable if cancelled prior to final payment?

2. Is it easy to move your booking around with NCL prior to final payment?

3. Is a mini-suite better than a large balcony room?

4. Does a mini-suite have any benefits?

5. If cruising during NFL football season, is there a place on the ship to watch the games?

If you take a good look around either the NCL site or search the threads here you will find plenty of info to answer these questions (and bring up several more).

Yes, you can cancel before final payment and get a full refund.

Yes, you can change your reservation as many times as you want before final payment. It may change the promos you get so be sure to look at the entire package.

The main difference between a mini and balcony is the bathroom. There is a little more space but no suite perks.

Depending on the sailing you will most likely see a football game or two. It might not be the time or team you want.

3. Is a mini-suite better than a large balcony room

That depends on whether a slightly bigger room (mainly in the bathroom) is preferable to you than a bigger balcony.

Personally, I'd go for the large balcony over a standard mini suite. However a mini suite with large balcony is best.

5. They will show some games in The District, and maybe in the Atrium, but mostly in the District. It's hit or miss what, if any, games you will get.

1. Yes (assumes you book in US with NCL)

2. Yes. Same assumption as above

3. The difference is in the size of the bathroom. The balconies are small,,, good for sitting out but not much more. We would book a minisuite for the bathroom space

4 No. Fancy name. No benefits.
