Trying to decide between a cruise next February 5th.

Allure has a boardwalk balcony for the same price as inside on harmony.

Allure does Cozumel labadee while harmony goes further to st Thomas and st Maarten.

Will the water in western Caribbean be warm enough for swimming and snorkelling or are we better to head further south?

Thanks

It really depends where you are from. If you're used to warm temperatures then it may seem cool.

For us, it's like summer when we go there in January. I've been swimming at Junkanoo Beach in Nassau, snorkeling the Meso American reef off of Puerto Moreles MX, Stingray City in Grand Cayman and a beach club in Cozumel all in Januarys.

Always found the water warm and could stay in as long as I wanted.

Just remember I'm usually coming from this...............

If you're in the CARIBBEAN, it's warm all year round. Bahamas and Bermuda are NOT in the Caribbean, despite the brochures!

Per above ^ The Bahamas and Bermuda are NOT in the Caribbean!

Once in the Caribbean, it's nice and warm all year.

Don't worry about your Western Caribbean! We've been there many times in the January/February time frame and it was perfect for swimming and water sports. :)

Labadee, on the north (Atlantic) coast of Haiti, and Cozumel are warm enough for swimming year round, but the sea water temperatures at St. Thomas and St. Maarten will most likely be a few degrees warmer - if greater warmth is a deciding factor for you.
