Just stepped aboard the Getaway will update daily

Hello. Just got on board the Getaway. Will try to answer questions when I can. Left my house around 9:30 am this morning and dropped off my rescue mutt at her boarder for the week. After continued to the port and parked my car. Security was a breeze. Took around 15 min before was our turn to get our key cards. Boarding group 20 and they were on 16. Wasn't long before they called our group and got on board. 1st stop a bar for a cherry lime aid and then savor for lunch. Popcorn shrimp and roasted leg of lamb. Now time to eat!

If you could be so kind to snap any restaurant menus you attend. I am especially interested in the MDR for lunch as I expect that will be our first stop when we board the Getaway on April 3.

One favor: Can you please post some photos of the casino, specifically if there is a Texas holdem poker table? Travelling with some friends this summer and the guys want to know if there is a poker table.

The roasted leg of lamb was really tasty. I wish was more medium but it was good and had a ton of flavor. My gf had a bacon wrapped meatloaf that she said was good.

So last night had dinner in the Tropicana mdr. Our waiter was excellent. Haurice if you go I suggest you request this very attentive lots of personality waiter. Had a need tenderloin and gf had salmon both enjoyed everything but dessert. After went to the casino. And played some 3 card poker. Left up $140 got another drink and a hotdog to go from osheenans. Then off for a late snack on the balcony.

We upgraded our room somewhat late to a spa balcony when would just be 100 more. Stupid me to thought waste of money a spa pass but gotta keep the gf happy. Well turns if they should call the spa pass a heaven pass. Currently laying on a heated lounger watching the ocean and just 1 other is in here. Pure heaven.

 

So far my favorite drink are from the mojito bar. The pineapple coconut mojito is tasty.

Just off last week. Cruise Director was Dan the Man from USA, now living in Philippines!
