The fridges have snacks and sodas...they are NOT complimentary.

You can get glasses of free wine in the CL during cocktail hours.

You can take food to or from anywhere, within reason.

You are supposed to stay in the lounge to drink your alcohol...it's not always enforced, tho.

The TV ports are disabled.

Cruiser who have stayed in the Royal Suite Room 1620 on the Adventure of the Seas (or sister ship) - Help!

We were in a GS on Adventure so I can only answer a few questions.

1. Did you receive wine on Day 1 (complimentary)?

No, but that may be different for the RS

2. Did you receive any treats each night (ex. Fruit, chocolate, etc.) each day (complimentary)?

Not every day, but the days we were in the room when they came around. When were in a suite on Grandeur, they left the treats on the counter for us every day

3. Can you use a ROKU or Chrome stick on the televisions?

not sure, didn't look or try

4. Can you provide a (scan/pic) of room service menu for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner?

You will receive the dinner menu in your suite each morning. I ordered breakfast once, I don't remember if I called and asked or had a menu from somewhere.

5. Could/can you bring your beverage/food from the concierge lounge back to your room or walk around the boat with your with it?

They don't like you taking the drinks out of the lounge, I suppose you could tho...

6. Do you have any tips, advice, or thoughts before he cruise?

Enjoy it...

Thanks is advance.

I would love to see your video! Did you order room service from the MDR - did it come in a timely manner? Did they give you complimentary wine on other days in your room? Were you charged for the Wifi hotspot in the living room? Did they supply creamer (flavored) for coffee or do i need to bring my own? Were you invited to the captain's dinner and did you go? Were there enough chairs in the suites pool seating area, any issues? Is the suites pool seating area in a good spot and where on the deck is it? What was your thoughts of the CL lounge? Did they have can soda in the CL because would like to take one or two to my room? Did you receive desserts in your room each night? thanks so much in advance.

Have stayed in a few RS's, we also have RS1620 booked as well

Here are a few menus that we had in the RS on Jewel

Don't have time to scan them in, just zoom in to read these:)

Jasmine Menu (Lobster)

image_zpsrvwmfses.jpeg

Mojo

image_zpsc2pojecz.jpeg

Wine and champagne in room all weeK

Never used the fridge, they have wine stands to chill your bottles

image.jpg16_zpsdq1yryzp.jpg

Bring an HDMI cable and a universal remote control, A&L_ONT (Andrew) has detailed this very well in how to hook it all up.

We just used the PS3 that was already in the room

Yes you can take drinks from CL to your room, no worries.

Fruit plates twice on a 7 night

Chocolate strawberries

Cheese plates

Enjoy the RS

There are quite a few videos on YouTube for this RS

Please let me know about the secret cupboard behind the wet bar :D

Apparently it is a kitchen service area, good place for storing your suitcases:)

Happy Days!

I put it on my list to find the secret cupboard. I just viewed a video on youtube of the room - will I be looking where the sink is located or in the area where the dining table is located - saw a couple of cabinets? The wine and champagne that was in your room the whole week was it complimentary or you had to pay? Thanks in advance

We never paid for any of the liquids in our room. ymmv :)

Look forward to hearing your feedback on the suite, before we get to enjoy it

Look forward to seeing them

Just noticed you will be sailing June 2017

Will wait patiently to see.

We have a longer wait of March 2018:eek:

Also don't forget to ask concierge for sheet music, and the remote for the piano is in the stool:)

You can also use your own CD,s in the auto player.

You are full of so much information - I love it!! My son hasn't played in a while - thank goodness for sheet music! I am so glad I can bring my own music to listen to while we are on the balcony and in the room!

The Piano Auto & CD Player had been removed when we sailed at the end of November 2015, so it is only a piano now. The room does have an iPod docking station that works great.

Room Service from the MDR came in 30 minutes. We only received 1 bottle of complimentary champagne. With the 2 bottles of wine we brought on board and the drinks from the Concierge Lounge we had plenty of alcoholic drinks. The WiFi hotspot is a perk as part of the room. You don't really notice it unless looking at the ceiling. Didn't see any flavored coffee creamer on the ship. We were not invited to the Captain's Table. It isn't a perk for booking the Royal Suite. Lots of chairs were always available in the reserved area by the pool. The Concierge Lounge was OK, but it doesn't have a view in its current location. In the new location it will have great views (by the time you sail). You can ask for free canned soda in the CL between the hours of 5 - 8:00 p.m. You can order dessert off the Main Dining Room menu for delivery to your room every night.

Hope this link to the video works:

Thanks for the heads up,on the auto CD player for the piano, luckily DD doesn't need it to play.

No need to bring corkscrew, there will be one in the room

Pillow menu will be in one of the bedside drawers, if not ask your attendant for the menu. Don't be shy on how many you want

If you want games for the PlayStation, ask before you board and they will be in your room on arrival.

If concierge does not email you within a week before you set sail, drop them a line on any requests or questions you may have

AD_Concierge@rccl.com

Not sure who concierge will be this far out, but when you check in at the pier, they typically will come and escort you on to the ship. Depending on what time you arrive, you may want to let them know a rough time you intend to embark

If you are early birds like us, even if rooms are not ready you will be able to drop off any carry on's you may have with you. That has been our experience.

Things may change, but in our experience with the RS, this has always been the case.

This is so nice to know that I can drop off my carry on bag and any other light bags we take through security. For clarity do he/she meet us after or before we check in and go through security? Thanks in advance.

After security, when you check in, as Bob quoted.

Head to the right side for suite check in at the terminal

Suite queue outside is to the left.

I am a visual person and this pic will go in my notebook along with the others and also tips and suggestions that have been provided. Question: Should I pick up my 2 bottle of wine at the port duty free shopping (there was a post that said there was a store at the pan america port before getting on the ship - however I worry about standing in a long line) or should we pick it up at the store the day before near Embassy Suite hotel where we will be staying?

If you're not picky about the wine, then wait until you get inside the terminal.
