Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #26 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Sunday, February 28th – Day At Sea – Woke up at 6:45am with the sunrise. We had room service deliver coffee & toast at 8:00, not thinking we would be up so early. After walking around for awhile, we went to brunch about 10:00 which is only on sea days in the Sensation dining room. Service was a little slow and the food was good. I had the omelet which was hot and cheese grits which were bland. After brunch, we went to the Serenity deck at the back of the ship. Only problem with putting it in the back, you hardly get any sun first thing in the morning. We sat out for about 30-40 minutes and decided to move up top for some sunshine. The weather was sunny but in the shade, it was a little cool.
Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted March 19, 2016 After laying out for about an hour, went back to the room for a nap before getting ready for formal night. I love to getting dressed up for formal night and since our whole family was together, it was a requirement for all. :p The family met up about 5:15 so we could do family pictures together before dinner. If this is your thing, they had plenty of backgrounds to chose from. We took pictures with almost every background. I'm sure my family was hating me after awhile ;) Formal night dinner – Had the strawberry bisque and guacamole & chips for appetizers. Dinner had roasted duck (which was a little dry) and for dessert, birthday cake. Service was excellent.
Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #28 Share Posted March 19, 2016 After dinner, we walked around to kill time before the adult comedy show. We took our youngest DD to the casino so she can gamble for the first time. If you are not a smoker, you might find the casino smells. We are not big gamblers and didn't spend more than a few minutes. We did the adult comedy show a couple of times through out the cruise and enjoyed all of them. If you are easily offended, don't go to the adult version. I don't have much of a filter and I even found myself saying "OMG"
Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #29 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Meant to add that we went into the Passage to India lounge where they were doing karaoke. This particular night, it was packed. We sat and watched individuals and groups sing (including our oldest DD) and then left. I'm sure we hit the buffet for some late night ice cream and pizza (which was a nightly tradition for our family :o ). Next: Nassau
jtdlmc Posted March 19, 2016 #30 Share Posted March 19, 2016 (edited) Yes! There are plenty of places around the ship to lay out around the ship. The back of the ship, there is the serenity deck and then right above that, there is the waterpark with tons of chairs. I will go through my pictures and try and post what I have. Oh that's great! Since laying on a lounge chair in the sun watching the ocean go by is one of my favourite things to do, I was starting to re-think going on that ship! Glad to hear there are lots of spots :) Edited March 19, 2016 by jtdlmc
Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #31 Share Posted March 19, 2016 February 29th - Nassau, Bahamas Since we had nothing planned for Nassau, we were in no hurry to get up. Of course once I saw the sun starting to rise, I was up taking pictures.

Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #33 Share Posted March 19, 2016 After we watched the ship dock, we went down to the buffet for breakfast. About 9:30, we headed off the ship and to the water taxi to Paradise Island. The taxi was $8.00 roundtrip (out of the port terminal, go to the right). The water taxi was entertaining and informative. Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #34 Share Posted March 19, 2016 We got to Paradise Island before 10:00 and headed directly to Margaritaville. Come to find out, they did not open until 11:00. Walked around for a while and headed back to Margaritaville. Margaritaville was opened in December 2015, so it was really nice. We each had a drink and split some nachos which were pricey, but really good. .
Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #35 Share Posted March 19, 2016 After Margaritaville, walked back to the water taxi pier and waited about 15 minutes before heading back to “downtown” Nassau. Walked down to Senior Frogs and were lucky enough to find a table in the back. This place was packed and most people looked like they had been drinking for hours. If the loud party scene is not your thing, skip Senor Frogs. We stayed a couple of hours and enjoyed some drinks and entertainment before heading back out to shop before going back to the ship. From the second you leave the ship, EVERYONE was trying to sell you something. The Straw Market was pretty much the same thing at every booth. If we ever go to Nassau again, we will probably plan an excursion and skip shopping.
Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #36 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Dinner – Was great service yet again. Food was okay. Pork loin was dry. Fried shrimp was little mushy. Redfish was good. Had coconut cake which was light and tiramisu was okay. The servers put on a dance and daughter got up with them. Here she is dancing with one of our servers, Eka Next: Half Moon Cay
Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #37 Share Posted March 19, 2016 We were up early as usual. Watched the sunrise as we were pulling into Half Moon Cay. We had ordered some room service since we had to be down in The Palace at 7:45 for the 8:00 tender to the island. When you check in at the Shores Excursion deck the first day to pick you cabana, you'll be give instructions for HMC. We were in the first group, so we followed one of the staff down the stairs to the tender and then we were off.

Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #39 Share Posted March 19, 2016 When we got off the ship, we headed directly to the cabana. I knew by looking at the maps online, it was past the pirate ship. I thought walking on the path would be the easiest, but if you walk down to the beach, it's a more direct walk.

Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #44 Share Posted March 19, 2016 The beach was beautiful and quiet since there were few people there at this point. Here you can see how close cabana #10 and #11 are. This is looking down towards the Pirate Ship Bar.

Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #48 Share Posted March 19, 2016 We absolutely LOVED Half Moon Cay. We arrived in our cabana by 8:30 and didn't get on the tender until 2:15 and it was still not enough time. We spent the day snorkeling (not much to see but still fun) and just hanging out. I was sad when we had to leave. Can't say what we did the rest of the day besides dinner. I'm sure we all crashed out early.
Terab85 Posted March 19, 2016 Author #49 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Our last sea day, I didn't take many pictures. We laid out most of the afternoon, had dinner, and caught the last comedy show. The weather was warm and the day perfect :D They had a big Dr Seauss celebrating in the lobby.
DebOinKC Posted March 19, 2016 #50 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Really enjoying your review. We leave in 21 days for the Fascination. I am so glad you posted the pictures of the cabana's, because I am hoping to get #11, and your pictures really helped out a lot.
