Great tips on this thread!

Can anyone speak to comfort level of the cream colored pull-out sofas in the Haven courtyard rooms? For an average sized teenager?

Thinking of an upsell from our aft-facing large balcony to a Haven courtyard cabin, 3 ppl. Sad to give up the wonderful balcony and lounge chairs, but thrilled to get the Haven benefits!

Thanks!

Great to hear that your vacation was awesome! What are the hours of the Haven restaurant?

i think its last walk ins welcome by 9:30....the bar outside the restaurant gets hosed down (literally) at 9:30 on the dot....no after hour drinks there...which was very baffling...i had to go out with the common folk to enjoy a drink...lol

Right outside that overlook area. Same deck as Vibe and public sundeck.

How crowded does the sun deck get for Haven on. Days at sea and days at port? First come first serve seating or reserved? Any inside tips and suggestions with landing a nice spot? This is our first time in Haven but third on the ship, so it will be GREAT to not have to deal with the general pool area scene.

When we went, there were children there (including our 3) but the adults in charge of them were stern about not letting them run wild etc. There was no splashing in the pool, running, yelling, monopolizing the hot tubs, etc. It seemed to me that the kids that were there were well practiced in behaving well in polite company and knew perfectly well what was expected of them.

Glad you enjoyed the Haven on the Breakaway - but once you've done the Haven, good luck going back to a "regular" cabin :D

I totally agree! I can't imagine going back to a regular cabin. IT was just so less stressful, never a wait for the pool, and for some reason the carrot cake in the Haven dining room was much better than the one in the buffet (different icing, different portion size, moister- def. an actually different product than served elsewhere on the ship)

My 16 yo dd stayed on the pull out while the other two dds were in the second bedroom. She slept ok but got cold sometimes. The biggest problem we had with the pull out was that it was in the way and she could not sleep in once the rest of us got up. The balcony we had had room for two chairs and a table plus we brought out a third chair. The fact that you won't have to get up at 6am to stake out deck chairs on the lower decks will be great for you plus there is always room in the Haven pool and hot tubs. DO IT you won't regret it!

I second that - do the Haven if you can swing it! It will be our first time on the BA in September. Loved the Haven in the smaller ships (Gem, Pearl etc.).

I hear that - we just came back from our Getaway cruise and the Haven has spoiled us. We have a wonderful Aft Balcony for our Gem cruise next spring and normally I would be thrilled but......

Moalio ( Marion and Ben)

Check in was excellent and smooth. You will bypass the crowds waiting in line to be checked in and be directed to a private area. After receiving your room keys you will be escorted to the ship, enter an elevator reserved for Haven guests and be in the lounge within seconds!

Fast forward now to the end of your cruise... Private elevator to disembark ship, bypass the lines waiting for luggage and you will be directed to the priority luggage area. Luggage tags will be left in your room a day before the end of trip.

Important note: pay one of the luggage handler guys to assist with your bags... They seem to have priority and take you to customs very, very quickly. ( again bypassing the long lines for clearing customs). It will be the best $20 dollars spent to end your cruise.

Welcome back, OP!

What time did you arrive at the port? We'll be in the Haven at the end of May and I'm wondering how early we should check in.

Thanks,

Nicole
