Sailing on her 5-8-16 & 5-15-16 it will be our 5th & 6th cruise on the Freedom our last was June 2014. Would like to know of the changes in the ship & what to look for. This will be our 1st cruise as Diamond +.

New staterooms have been added to deck 12 forward, making the running track smaller. Night Club was changed into staterooms on deck 3 and the Sabor restaurant on deck 4. Portofino changed to Giovanni's Table. R Bar replaced some other bar, maybe Champagne?

That's correct, Champagne Bar changed to R Bar. They also changed the name and decor of Pharoh's Palace to the Star Lounge.

Do you happen to know how long the running track is now with the new rooms added forward on deck 12?

I know on the liberty 5 (and some change) laps to a mile was what it said, however it said that on the non-shortened end of the track so I'm not sure on its accuracy.

 

I know that is the case on the liberty, did the freedom get the same stateroom additions though?

Freedom got the same added staterooms on deck 12.

I think I remember it being just over 6 laps per mile while the Freedom class use to be very close to 5 laps per mile.
