suec12 Posted April 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2016 We will be visiting in May - we plan to do the "Red Tile Walking Tour" - this is DIY, I printed a map off the Santa Barbara website. There is also a podcast you can download with detailed narrative. We have visited there once before (land trip) - there are plenty of shops, also one of the old missions at the northern edge. Not sure how walkable / accessible by public transportation it is but we will probably go there again if possible and work our way back to the ship. Also very nice beach. brunello22 Posted April 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2016 Aside from the local tasting rooms and wineries outside the city, there is lots to do. State Street has lots of restaurants and shops. The Mission is worth a visit. One day we rented electric bikes and cruised around all over the city, beach, parks, etc. Very helpful getting up the hills!
