Yes Cabana's at Margaritaville, we always get one, air-conditioned and can lock personal belongings in it while we swim and shop. However, I always book one as soon as they are shown on the excursion list have never seen a wait list. I'd watch the excursion list until you leave and still follow-up once on the ship to see if come available

We had one this past December. They're nice and as previously stated, are right behind the Margaritaville pool.

They are relatively inexpensive, the servers are friendly and attentive, service is good.

It allows you to have a home base where you can keep your stuff, lock your valuables, etc, and it's a short walk to the beach.

Once the cabanas are sold out, your only option is to go to the Excursions Desk right after boarding on Embarkation Day and see if there are any cancellations.

Also, keep checking the shore excursion page for your cruise online daily in case there is a cancellation, and one opens up. Especially around the time final payment for the cruise is due.

We get a cabana there every time, and for us, it is worth it.

That's not that bad. But are you paying per person or per cabana?

The cost is per cabana.

Is there a preferred cabana location? Higher or lower# is better or a map I can look at the choices?

Thanks

Cabana #1 is closest to the swim up bar and the DJ, so it is nosier down that end, but it's the closest to the bathrooms. Cabana #10 is closest to the Flowrider and the beach. Hope that helps. I have plenty of pictures in my reviews in my signature that have stops at Grand Turk.

I was hoping you would answer as I thought I remember from your review you had the layout down pat.

#10 should be great for my wife with 3 boys while I dive. Thanks

we got one at Margaritaville a few years back and it turned out to be a lifesaver. we were in the casino on the ship the night before and I was watching the wife gamble and "enjoying" the Cheers program, and had just a few too many lol. Well, the next day at Grand Turk......I never knew that air conditioning could feel so good! we were the second ship back to the island after the whole thing was closed due to illness, it was worth it lol

We get one every time we visit Grand Turk (6 or 7x). Well worth the money! Love that we can lock our stuff up and go to the beach or up to the swim up bar in the pool. The kids like to go in there to get out of the sun and sit in the ac. Free wifi too! If there are two ships in port HAL usually gets the lower number cabanas and Carnival gets the higher number cabanas. At least that has been my experience when we've had two ships in port. That could be why they are showing as sold out for the OP (2 ships). You can't choose your cabana number ahead of time. They will assign you a cabana when you check in at Margaritaville. You leave your sail and sign card with them and they give you the key to the cabana.

We have been to GT several times and I don t really see a need for a cabana. There are plenty of loungers both in the shade and in the sun around the pool. The beach next rl the dock does as well.
