Chefs Table on Oasis Class

Recommended Posts

Can anyone share their experience with Chefs Table on Oasis Class ships. I think I've seen through various threads its in Coastal Kitchen (never been in coastal kitchen) or something which doesn't seem to intimate a setting or share the same ambience as other chefs Table I've been to on Other ships in the fleet. Figured many of you could share your experience of Chefs Table on Oasis Class... We will no on Harmony, so may be setup differently than Allure or Oasis but would still love to have some feedback. Thanks in advance :)

Oasis last March was in CK toward the back in a sectioned off area that was very nice. We have also done CT twice on Carnival in the galley, which I enjoy the hustle and bustle of being in the galley.

However, I like the CT in CK also. It seemed to me the food and wine pairing was better. There really wasn't any wine pairing on the Carnival Magic in January, just the same wine for the entire dinner. Oasis was a true pairing.

Food I would rate outstanding on all three CT's we have done. I think you will like the CT in CK.

They did offer us a discount on embarkation day while we were hanging out in SL.

We are sailing Allure in October and plan to do another CT.

We have always enjoyed dining at Chef's Table however the location of the Chef's Table on the Oasis and Allure is not ideal nor is it intimate as on most ships. It is located in the area that was the former bandstand in the former "Viking Crown Lounge".

Negatives: it is located between the Suites Lounge and Coastal Kitchen and is open to those areas. While we were dining people would walk to/from the two areas in shorts talking and enjoying themselves. There was also a family with a crying baby eating dinner in Coastal Kitchen.

We enjoyed the food and wine but the distractions of passers-by were not to out taste.

Just dined at CK on the Oasis last week! We thought the location, atmosphere, and staff was amazing. By the way, did I mention to come very hungry and thirsty? 😉😋. Food and presentation superb as were the very generous pours!! I highly recommend!

My daughter and I did the Chefs Table on the Allure a couple of weeks ago. The dinner itself was on the top floor of the diamond lounge. The diamond lounge was my favorite spot on the ship, so this was great. I do not normally drink, but I made an exception for this dinner. A couple of the wines were excellent. The food and presentation were excellent too. I thought the price was well worth it.

Chef's Table on Allure is located on deck 12 above the Diamond lounge and reached via the stairs from the DL. I wouldn't mind this as a venue but think the Oasis venue (i.e. in the Suites lounge) is poor and would certainly detract away from what should be an intimate and exclusive experience - as it is on other classes of ship.

We have attended two chefs tables on Allure, the last one the end of January. True it is held upstairs of the Diamond lounge which is great. I like they keep it to a smaller group. When on Anthem last June in Europe they held it in a private area just off of Chops but too many people.

I will say that the first time we were on Allure and attended CT we were given a cookbook at the end which was a nice touch.

If you are on Allure do it!!

How much is this experience? What does this include? We are sailing on the Oasis of the seas.

I can't remember exactly but I want to say $90 PP. It includes a welcome champagne then escort to the table where there will be 4 courses with a wine paired with each and desert with an after dinner wine. They keep filling the glasses so it is not one and done.

Believe me there is plenty and you will not be short changed.

The food is fantastic, the chef comes out and describes each course and then the "wine guy" talks about the wine they are pairing with it.

We always enjoy the people we meet and talk with. They are usually from around the world.
