wildflowersnhoney Posted April 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2016 Hi I have On Board Credit already for my cruise in October. I also have points available from the Princess Credit Card Rewards. Can either of these be redeemed for the Unlimited Bar package? Or can I use them for the gratuities for the cabin? Also- I cannot remember if the $56.30 per day on the bar package takes care of the tax/tip on the drink. Thank you and Bon Voyage! Probably will save $100 a day at least. LOL. Rare Shelly97060 Posted April 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2016 As mentioned you can use your OBC for anything you want including the drink card... As for cashing in your Princess Visa points, I haven't seen an option to use them directly for the drink card on the credit card rewards site but it would be as simple as cashing the points in for OBC and then purchasing the card once onboard. Enjoy your cruise.

paul929207 Posted April 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 8, 2016 OBC can be used for anything that is charged to your on board account. So if you purchase an AIBP before the cruise and pay for it when you buy it, you will not be able to use OBC to pay for it. On the other hand, if you purchase it on the ship and it is charged to your cabin account, then OBC will pay for it.
skynight Posted April 8, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 8, 2016 OBC is just a credit to your on board account, and is netted against all on board purchases and the auto tip. The exceptions are the purchase of future cruise deposits which are charged directly to your credit card and casino if you choose to use cash. You can't specifically designate where to apply OBC.
