How many carnival gift cards

Can you use at one time to pay online or by calling a carnival rep.

I was told 3 at a time.

My friend has been buying carnival gf from giant eagle to pay for her cheers program, so she is planning to buy 8 in $50 and then call into Carnival and add the cheers program and pay for it.

The cheers has to be paid in full when you add it, so if the 3 gf at a time is true, then she will not be able to do this the way she is planning?

I called carnival and was told by carnival rep 3 gift cards at a time (someone else told me this another traveler)

My friend who is buying them called and was told she can use as many as she has.

Looking for input here

It has been years since I sailed Carnival.

My nephew is going on a cruise on the Miracle ? in May for 7 nights.

I have been reading about Carnival gift cards & was wondering where these are purchased. He is thinking of the "swim with the dolphins " excursion & I may get gift cards for that.

I have bought them at Tom Thumb and Kroger (you get gas points). I have seen them at Albertson's and Lowe's. They are available at carnival.com. They can be purchased at a discount through Verizon.com and aarp.com, but are only available from time to time on these sites. Citibank cards may also have them available online.

Other grocery stores have them, too. Check the list at carnival.com.

Our local Publix sells them.

I was thinking of buying a card with whatever amount I feel comfortable with each time I grocery shop to offset some of the costs.

Does this sound like a reasonable plan?

Am I missing something in my thinking?

Thanks for the input.

That sounds like a good idea and smart way to budget wisely. If you have a Kroger they sometimes run specials with bonus fuel points. I don't shop there so I'm not familiar with how all that works.

That's what I did. A little here, a little there.

The only glitch in the system came when they upped the price of Cheers! but not if you pre-pay. Well, you can't pre-pay with Gift Cards, so you are kind of tied in to buying onboard. If I had a stash of cash in a box under the bed, I could pre-pay for Cheers!

I bought several through my daughter's school scrip at an 8% discount over the past two years. I called Customer Service and had 34 cards applied on one call last year. This year I added 22 cards myself in one transaction online. These cards were all $100 each.

I did find that my booking wouldn't accept cards until my PVP removed the Carnival airport transfers. After I paid the air and cruise I called her and she did the Carnival transfers with my cards over the phone.

Four times fuel points on gift cards at Kroger through April 26 according to a sign I saw at a store in Dallas. I never get too excited as I drive a Prius with a 7.5 gallon gas tank. [emoji53] but hopefully someone else can benefit from the information.

I have had a Prius as well. The tank is 11.9 gallons but rarely could I fit 9 gallons due to the reserves.

The trick to getting 35 gal. And get more than what a small tank holds is take an extra vehicle to pull up and a couple extra 5 gallon gas cans for riding mower or just gas for your car later. Just have your spouse/friend pull up behind you without hanging nozzle up.

You could pay for your cheers with a credit card. Then when you get on the ship, have your gift cards credited to your on board account. Then go to the casino and cash out and use the cash to pay your credit card bill. :D

Can someone verify that this will work? I'm already ticked off that I went and got these Cards, $800 worth and was then told I can't use them to purchase the Cheers program pre-cruise despite it not saying anything about this anywhere I can find. That was the whole goal. Once on the ship it goes up around 5 bucks per day per person.

You can do 6 at a time online. No limit when you call. But they cannot be used to pay for Fun Shop/Bon Voyage purchases.

I purchased Fun Shop stuff with a gift card for our cruise last October. I purchased water and the Carnival cooler with beer. I had no problem paying online with a gift card.

We've done that when filling up the truck and the boat for a trip. DH and DS will go up to Kroger and fill the truck, then pull ahead and fill the boat. A great savings.

Nope. Just went into my friend's reservation. Placed both those things in the cart and the only option to pay is with a Credit Card.

Oh, and there are quite a few people on here that have tried to buy the Cheers Package discounted ahead of time and are bummed that they can't be paid for with GC. Especially when you can get the GC discounted as well. Even the Reps tell them no when they call in.
