How far is the Amsterdam Resistance Museum from where Celebrity Cruises docks?

If it is the museum that I am remembering we had to take a public bus to the museum from train station area.10-15 mins. I think but too far to walk. It is on the same street as the zoo -- maybe that will help. This museum is rather small and not "large budget" but it is very well done and very interesting. Well worth a visit. Just down from the museum is a canal bridge and a residential area that was very pleasant for a small walk with several sights that we took "Amsterdam type photos -- meaning canal/houses/bicycles and more bicycles." We also enjoyed hot chocolate in a café and watched people for awhile. Easy to do on the bus/tram system.

Here is what I found: Open Tuesday -Friday 10-5 PM Sat/Sun/Mon 11-5. Cost is 6 Euro accepts "Iamsterdam card" for admission. audio tour included but like most things in Netherlands the people in the museum speak many languages. Tram line 9 or 14 to "Plantage KerKlann" (walk to the left down the street past the zoo gate 1/2 block and it is opposite side of street from zoo-- can't remember but think sign is rather small.)

 

This museum really tells a very detailed and personal stories of a city under seize of the German troops. We really enjoyed being in a "regular" part of the city and the museum is excellent.

It's about a 25 minute walk to the Resistance Museum from the cruise terminal. Alternately, you could take bus #48 or trams #26 & 9 (26 to Centraal Station & from there #9) . You can check-out the walking route on Google maps.
