On the Oasis - Sky Level Any questions?

Recommended Posts

Wonderful pictures! Thank you so much for all of the information. We're sailing in a CL on Allure in one week and you've answered all of the questions that I had:D

So excited!!

Did you receive a Sky Class "Welcome Letter" outlining all of the amenities for this suite class and if so, could you post a copy of it? I saw a copy of the Star Class "Welcome Letter" on another thread. Thanks!

Thanks for posting the "Suite Service" letter and all of the other new suite information. Do you have the "Sky Class" letter outlining the Sky Class amenities?

They used plastic cups like that a few areas ago during the World Cup. They said Coke and World Cup over them. They were no where as good as the traditional insulated cup.

The regular cups returned by our next cruise a few months later. This March we were using the traditional insulated cups, so hopefully these plastic ones are a short/limited supply.

Good to know these are temporary. I didn't like them at all. I actually never used it, which is what made me think they were unsanitary. If I left the cup on the table and never used it how do I know unused cups are not reused? With the other ones wrapped in plastic, I knew I was the only person to use it after I unwrapped it.

This is the only letter I received. It's been revised because it references Sky Pass card vs gold card. The amenities listed are what is available for Sky Class.

The cups we experienced were darker in colour and the ice hardly lasted 20 minutes. I think if we experience them again I will try to hunt up one of the normal ones from the genie, concierge, GS etc. I'd like to think that there might be a few of them floating around. I do know that I'd have to show my sticker regularly as the bar staff could think it is an old cup being reused but I like an ice cold drink the plastic cups don't keep their cool.

We're not sailing until November but we've been in contact with RCI in regards to the suite deck being wheelchair accessible. We've been advised there is a staff elevator up to the suite deck and access can be arranged this way via the concierge. Alternatively they offered to set up a sectioned off private area for us on any other accessible sun deck.

Hope this helps!

Who have you been talking to at RCI? I would like to contact them as well to make arrangements. Thanks.

We have cruised in the accessible CLS two previous times, but both times told that the suite sun deck was not accessible when on the ship. So apparently the arrangements do need to be made in advance.

I'm sorry to report that these are the "new" cups, at least for a while. On our cruise (24th) they had both the nicer double walled ones (wrapped in plastic), and these new ones, on the Promenade. My room had the pictures ones but I took them down to bars to swap and that's when I was told we were getting the last of the "old".

EEK. I did notice on Harmony periscopes today they were the same plastic mugs that you were able to swap out. I hope they run out of them before the end of August. :p

Great Info!!! Thanks for posting[emoji108]🏾Will be cruising as Sky in August. When we arrive at the port to embark, do we leave our luggage with the porters then go to the Suite entrance OR do we take our luggage with us to the Suite entrance and it will be collected there?

How did debarkation work for the sky class level

You can be escorted off by the concierge (post 139) or walk off any time on your own. Others have reported that suite guests luggage is in a separate area in the terminal.

I would suggest walking off with the concierge to avoid the line just to get into the terminal.

You give your luggage with the porters then go to the Suite entrance. The porter told me that suite luggage is separated from the others in the back.

I think I mentioned before, my group of 3 never had a problem getting a table at CK without reservations anytime after 8:00 pm. Between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm CK was the busiest.

This spicy shrimp appetizer in CK is my favorite menu item. It is available as an appetizer on the lunch menu and the 2nd CK dinner menu, which started on Wed.

I also recommend the scallops entree and lobster entree. The chicken sandwich on the lunch menu is also very good.

Thank you for the information you are providing, very informative. I am assuming this is in Coastal Kitchen correct? Wonder it if is only in Allure and Oasis since Coastal Kitchen is in the suite lounge area. On Quantum it is in a different area then the CL lounge
