Which place do you prefer to spend a leisurely day in Nassau without spending a fortune????

Have been to Fat Tuesday's, have not been to Tiki Bar, but heading there in a couple of weeks. Both are real close to each other, so you can spend a little time at one then head to the other and decide!

Just got back from Nassau on Cinco De Mayo....and Fat Tuesdays is gone!!! Tiki Bikini Hut is where loads of people go we stopped by briefly but it was so much chaos going on there we left after 4 beers......

Omg!! Can't believe Fat Tuesday's gone!!! Are they rebuilding it? Any other cool new places that you would recommend?

I found the Facebook page for Fat Tuesdays and they said they are relocating. Hopefully they will announce their new location soon.

You might try the Bearded Clam whcih is across the street to the left just as soon as you exit the port area. was there in April and loved it, check trip advisor for all the good reviews. Next time in Nassau that is where I will head.

Now whenever I return to Nassau I simply get off the ship walk to the store grab supplies or beers and go to fish fry to grab food and then back to the ship....now if you have never been I suggest going to the Rum Distillery John Watling's which is about a ten minute walk from port but its a nice free tour and for 5 bucks you get a rum punch drink or keep the casino chip as a souvenir!

Tony -- Is the walk only ten minutes? Wife and I are in our 60's. Is it easy walk. How long from Watling's to fish fry?

Yes, Watlings is about a 10-minute walk once you leave the ship area. It is uphill though. Getting back to the ship is easier. :) The Fish Fry is about a mile and a half away.
