Star Class on Oasis of the Seas Western Caribbean May 7-14 2016

We made arrangements with the Genie to meet at the terminal at 11:30 for an escorted embarkation. The Genie told us to not give our bags to the porters and that they should know what "Star Class" meant. We arrived ~10 minutes early and found the porters a little too eager to take our bags - they insisted that we didn't know what we were doing, but we didn't relent. I tried to contact our Genie via Loop, but got no response. We did find a very helpful man outside the terminal an ex-captain from RCCL who is now retired) who got us to the right place with the right porter - the Suites entrance to Terminal 18. If you have a Star Class suite, go straight here with your luggage. Once there, it was smooth sailing.

Thanks for relaying your experiences! We'll be at pier 18 tomorrow (arranged a 1:30 with our Genie).

I'm curious - can one drop off their luggage right at the suite entrance to the terminal, or only at the regular porter area? We'll be driving to the port so I'll drop off our luggage and Cheryl will keep tabs on it while I park. Just didn't know if we'd have to schlep our luggage (we don't travel light) from the porter area to the terminal entrance or not. Our Genie said that the luggage would go through security (scanners) with us unless it's too large, then it's taken somewhere else. For most suite guests on 7+night cruises I'm thinking that at least some of their suitcases are on the large side!!

THANKS,

Tom

We dragged our luggage to the suites entrance, but I'm sure you can ask a porter to do so for you. Just don't let them take it with the regular luggage.

There was also a Star Class flag in the drop off area - that may the right place to drop off Cheryl. It's not far from the suites entrance. We arrived by taxi, so we didn't see ipthe flag until later.
