I asked my daughter for help to determine data usage for my phone. When I told them I wanted it because I have been following people on Periscope, she was floored I even knew what that was. Thanks for making me look smart! :rolleyes:

We'll be live 'scoping from the ill-fated Empress of the Seas this week... Mon thru Friday. June 6 -11. Cockroaches, overflowing toilets, Tropical Depressions... and no ice cream! Witness it all first hand! (or not).

NOTE: Quite honestly, the best content from our cruise will be on Snapchat. Worth downloading the Snapchat app and adding winkscruises as a friend. This is where the real story will be told. Assuming they haven't turned off VOOM!

I got to meet another fellow Periscope friend today. Chris-bugsycruiser just happen to be in Jacksonville today. [emoji846]

 

I will find out when he's pericoping in October. I think he said Liberty of the Seas. I'll get the exact date, so he can be added to the list.

I have set myself up to Periscope and should do some with my daughters on the Oasis 2-July Eastern Sailing. Hopefully we can have some fun with it and keep it fun and interesting. I am curious if we can get any wifi from the ship while on Labadee. We have the zipline booked and I would love to periscope that but I am guessing the wifi probably won't have enough range.

Would love to tell you, yes you can use Ship Wifi on Labadee, but you are correct, WAY too far from Ship.

Not sure who is your Mobil Carrier. If you have Verizon, they have something called travel pass, where you can use your own Mobil Data plan for $10.00 a Day while in Haiti, if you can get a cell Signal. I was able to get a little bit of a Signal when I was there.

That's what I figured. Too bad - Just checked AT&T international and it does't look like they have any partners in Haiti. Looks like I will be recording it the old fashion way and putting it on Vimeo.
