Emerald Princess Family Suites

Colo Cruiser is correct;  the door locks when the handle is in down position.  A 20 month won't have the strength or height to pull the handle down or lift it up to open door; but sleigh bells on the handle will work.  We use this method at home;  make sure you have all the proper notarized paperwork for the baby.  If mom and dad are not going with you; you will need notarized paperwork

Correct. There is a door separating the inside room from the mini suite style room which locks from the mini suite part of the room. There is no curtain separating the living room area from the bed room area in the mini suite portion of the room.

The balcony has no partition towards the bow of the ship. When out at sea, it gets very windy.

Another caveat is that the suite benefits will not apply to those staying in the regular balcony room. Such benefits would be the breakfast, free specialty dinning on first night, priority tender tickets, embarkation lounge, and debarkation lounge (unless those staying in the balcony room are platinum or elite), to name a few. The room is very quiet comfortable.

Anyone know if the Suite Perks ONLY apply to part of the Family Suite and not the other part of the Family Suite?  Seems dubious.

We have sailed in the FS several times.

Twice on the Emerald.

The suite perks are for the entire FS there is no difference.

The addition is basically a 4 berth inside cabin next door that was made with inside access to the living room area of the FS.
