Congrats on the big move Brianna!!! I too need to move out of the land locked state of MN. Too far from cruise ships... lol

 

 

I'm sorry I'm late to this party. I have been waiting for this review since I found out you booked! When I saw you on JH FB page I knew this would be another amazing review. You always have the best time! One day I hope to cruise with you so we can "lean" together ;)

 

The pictures amazing as always. Thanks for all your hard work and effort! I cant wait to see what comes next.......

OK y'all I am back. It has been a busy week for me here in Orlando. My mom, aunt, and best friend all flew in last week. They have all went home :( but that gives me time to work on my review. It was so great to see my mom. It is the first time seeing her since I moved down to Florida in March.

 

So I left off with my review at the end of our second day onboard...a sea day...Next up would our first port of call in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Anyone who knows me by now or reads my reviews will remember that I cruise for the ship and not the ports. This cruise on the Vista was no different.

Our first port of call on our 13-day cruise would bring us to Dubrovnik, Croatia. I did not get off the ship in Dubrovnik. I stayed onboard and enjoyed the ship.

 

WHOA....NO CHAIR HOGS

 

The mid-ship pool set-up is very similar to the Breeze

 

The Red Frog Rum bar and Blue Iguana Tequila bar have very similar layouts

 

People will often ask me why I stay onboard on days when the ship is in port...this picture sums up my answer. It seems like you have the whole ship to yourself

Ok i got a t question.... Lol besides why do you still root for the lame Niger dame Irish. What happened to the chair lift in lido deck pool. I saw it in the first pics that carnival released prior to your cruise. I didn't see it in your pics

One thing that I always enjoy doing is going down the slides on a port day...no lines

The waterworks area on the Vista is HUGE

 

Pedro had to check out the slides too

There were so many things to do in the waterworks area for big kids and little kids

So after checking out the Waterworks area I headed to the Cloud 9 Spa. Now I have never bought a Spa Pass on any previous cruise but my friend that I was traveling with always books a Spa Cabin or she will buy a spa Pass. The first day of the cruise the Spa was having a special for a couples pass. It was $399.00 for 2 people for a 13-day cruise. My friend Laura really wanted Spa access so we bought it. It was $199.00 per person.

 

Now here's my thoughts on the Spa. I don't think I got my money's worth but it was nice to go in there into the whirlpool and hot stone beds after a long day onboard. It was a nice retreat to get away and relax

I utilized the whirlpool the most. Now it is not a Thallosotherapy pool which I found kind of odd but I enjoyed the whirlpool

After a couple hours in the Spa and whirlpool I was all shriveled up so it was time to get out and head back to the cabin to get showered

For dinner tonight we went to the Lido Buffet because neither one of us wanted to get dressed up for dinner

After dinner we headed to the Alchemy Bar to meet some new cruising friends. Now I am not sure what this drink was but it's the one where they light the bay leaf on fire

The Cherry on Top candy shop was on deck 5. This candy shop was the biggest in the fleet

I always make it a point to buy a bag of the Sour Gummy Funnels from the Candy Shop on every cruise

The Cherry on Top candy shop on the Vista was also an ice cream shop. Now they are supposed to have a Coldstone but it wasn't working on our cruise so we had hand dipped ice cream and then you could choose whatever toppings you wanted

Another beautiful dreamscape pattern

 

After a drink in the atrium we headed up to the deli to get a Hot Dog to take back to the cabin. I know it is something simple but the hot dogs were so good on the Vista. It must be that European Beef Hot Dog

We arrived back in the cabin to our towel animal....a little elephant

 

That is the end of Day #3 onboard the beautiful Carnival Vista. Tomorrow we would be in Kotor, Montenegro. Kotor was a last minute port that was added to our itinerary when Izmir, Turkey was removed.
