Carnival Vista Photo Review May 14-24, 2016

Then went on Sky Course/Ropes Course (fun but doesn’t compete with the ropes course on Norwegian Escape, Breakaway or Getaway). But SkyRide was awesome, you don’t get to do that on any other ship.

 

 

 

Now that was all done and it was a beautiful afternoon we spent some time in the Havana Pool area, I brought my laptop cuz I needed to get my Skyride video on youtube to send back home for everyone to see

If you look up these stairs the top section was closed because one of the glass stairs was shattered, it was closed since the beginning of the cruise but it was fixed the next day when we were in Rome

A peak in at Bonsai Sushi while we walked by, never did try it. Must be a good spot it was busy every night

Day 4 was going to be a long day touring Rome so we tried to get to bed earlier than we usually do

Day 4 May 17, 2016

 

Today we do our long Rome at its Best & Inside the Colosseum Excursion

 

A quick Breakfast in the Marketplace then off to our excursion

This excursion included lunch at a local restaurant in Rome, lunch was just ok, nothing special but did include some wine

Since we were not on the ship much today, I'll add some ship photo's of locations I haven't reviewed yet

 

Library Bar, looks nice not well attended. But must say they have lots of recent Travel Books for locations the ship will be visiting. I thought this was an excellent idea since the ship is spending the summer in Europe

Exhausting long day touring Rome early to bed

That sticky toffee brioche and the s'mores parfait look delicious:)

 

Library Bar might be a good hidey hole. Usually the Library's are filled with board gamers who are very vocal and I tend to stay away.

 

From my experiences, any "local" restaurant in Italy that tour groups get shuffled into tend to have blandish food. In Rome the best lunch spots were all the little bars near the train station. They indeed cater to locals.

Day 5 May 18, 2016 Naples Italy

 

Here are the Funtimes for day 5

 

 

 

This morning we had a Breakfast Burrito at Blue Iguana, enjoyed it very much

 

Then we were off on our "Discover Sorrento & Wine Experience"

 

 

 

Enjoyed a nice snack at a Cafe in Sorrento

Eventually made it to the Winery

 

Winery was good, they poured lots of wine to sample. Served us a plate of anti-pasta, spaghetti and desert. it was very good. but of course there was a sales pitch to purchase wine. The wine was very good so lots of people did buy the wine. I was surprised that when we were boarding the ship the wine was not taken at the security scanner, maybe we should have bought some.

This is aft between deck 3 and 4 the glass shattered like the stair in the Atrium, I don't recall it being fixed before the end of the cruise

Pixels is on deck 5 we had to walk by to get to our room if we were midship or forward. These guys got on my nerves, how many times do I have to say NO I don't want to sign up for some photo shoot. We would sometimes take deck 4 through the casino and past Skybox and Limelight then up the aft stairs to our Havana room

Dinner again at Horizons

 

Something I haven't mentioned yet, Your Time Dining is in Horizons on the European Cruises this may change to Reflections when Vista hits the US. So having said that I'm not sure how this check-in process will work. For now since we had YTD we had to go to a desk on deck 5 (just around the corner from our room, so no big deal) this desk was between Pixels and Java Blue you would sign in they would hand you a ticket with your table number and they would tell you to go to either Deck 3 or Deck 4 Horizons then they would take your ticket and seat you.

Show in Liquid Lounge tonight was Comedy Magic of Mel Mellers, he is old school magic comedy and was a lot of fun, excellent show

 

 

After the show we went up to the Lido for a Party, again the CD Matt really knows how to get everyone going

 

 

 

I then walked all round the top decks taking some night time photos, i'll flood this post now with my late night shots
