That sure was a bunch of mismatched furniture in the hotel lobby. Nice waiting area to get on cruise. Beats Tampa to heck.

Now onboard our Itinerary for the next 10 days

 

 

 

While in line we were handed the following letter, notifying us of the addition of Kusadasi and that they would possibly collect our passports. I knew about Kusadasi before we left via an email from Carnival and in the end they did NOT collect our passports.

We wanted to avoid the buffet so we went directly to Cucina del Capitano for a pasta lunch. Let me warn you right now, this is directly below the basketball court and all you can hear is pounding of the ball echoing through this restaurant (as well as jiji's). Not sure if the basketball court is busy during dinner time but if you pay to eat in a nice restaurant you may be annoyed by the noise.

Since I need to stay in touch with people back home I purchased the Premium internet so I could use Skype.

 

Skype worked perfectly after I had to do some ooma troubleshooting. If you need to make calls to an ooma voip phone you need to disable the blacklist and anonymous calling settings for Skype to work.

We only had breakfast here a couple of times, i was not impressed with the selections so we opted for breakfast in Horizons, Blue Iguana or Ocean Place, more on those places later...

We went to checkout or room but it wasn't quite ready so we decided to have a beer at the Red Frog

We had the IPA it was ok, I'm not a huge craft beer fan but this place seemed packed every night with live entertainment, games and activity. Very fun spot.

I must say Carnival really makes it easy for you to find your way around, when using the stairs the floor number is printed at the foot of each floor.

 

 

Entrance to rooms say Odd or Even, makes it easy for first time cruisers who may not know port or starboard

 

 

We stayed in a Havana Inside Cabin on deck 5. We absolutely loved this location and the Havana area but here is another warning, you can hear the music from the Havana bar. It did not bother us but I'm sure some people were at guest services complaining.

If I had to choose one area that could use improvement it would be the closet space, you do not have enough room for two people to hang your clothes. Don't let the picture fool you below with the mirror reflection.

 

 

 

 

Our Havana wrist bands, heard some rumours that people from the inaugural cruise are actually selling them on ebay...

Wow! That hotel breakfast....making me hungry at work at 4:30 in the afternoon.
