Loving seeing the pictures posted and reading the review.

Right now eagerly devouring anything "Divina" as we are booked on our first MSC cruise a month after her scheduled dry dock and our 2nd ever cruise.

Agree with previous poster that it's great to see the sea.

Thank you for taking the time to do this review - you seem to have quite a following :D

Hope you have a wonderful cruise with calm seas and blue sky all the way.

Great review as always.

What did you have to provide to MSC to prove you were at Diamond level on RCCL ?

Go to your C&A page where it shows your level and do a screen capture or use the snipping tool to grab a graphic image of the screen. that is what I used.

There were many things happening today including the Port Shopping talk in the Pantheon Theater, Bingo, and a lot of LIVE Music. Tonight there will be a performance of the Mask. The pool decks were packed today, and the Cruise Director and staff hosted several games for passengers. The weather was perfect with no rain and very sunny skies. There was a light breeze that felt nice as we cruised on the north side of Cuba.

Tonight was formal night, and I enjoyed a very nice dinner at The Black Crab Restaurant on Deck 6. I consumed Surf and Turf that was very good, and very filling. Gala Night tonight brought out very nice attire from most passengers. The photographers were everywhere. You won’t have any concerns if you want your photo taken. Your “Intrepid Reporter” had to say “no thank you” many times tonight as a walked around the ship.

I may have watched the news (dozed off a bit) after lunch that was much needed. I don’t mind waking up early, but I do like to put my head down a bit while on a cruise. The Segafredo Coffee served at Piazza del Doge may be one of the best I have tasted. Yes, you have to pay, but it is a premium smooth blend . . . and wonderful.

Tomorrow we are scheduled to arrive in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at 10AM. We should be the only ship there and I plan on going over to Island Village for a few hours. I will most likely find my way over to Margaritaville, but I have to get some Blue Mountain coffee over in the café in Island Village.

Thanks for tuning in. . .

Hello everyone and good morning. . . Welcome to DAY 3 of “LIVE” from MSC Divina.

We are sailing fast toward our next port of call (Ocho Rios, Jamaica) We can see land but will are scheduled at 10:30AM (I reported yesterday 10AM. . .Ooops)

I have been enjoying Segafredo Coffee with frequency. . . I have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It seems that Crew really enjoys it as well. I often see Officers enjoying coffee, and while speaking with them they have purchased a cup or two for me.

The Casino continues to be very “Radio Friendly”, and I also like the table games, as they are never very crowded. As I walk around the ship each evening it is apparent that Live music is something this ship seems to be very proud of. In almost every lounge there seems to be live music and crowds in the venue.

I enjoyed something I have never seen onboard a ship for breakfast . . . Breakfast Pizza. Wow, it seems kind of weird but it is very good. The pizza chef suggests that it is a passenger favorite. Who would of thought? Bravo, MSC . . .

The weather forecast for today is sunny, with mostly clear skies. There is a chance of rain later this afternoon, but maybe it will hold off until we leave.

MSC Daily Nautical information writes: “We are scheduled to pick up the pilot at 9:30 who will assist us during the mooring maneuvers into the Port of Ocho Rios”

Here are a few pics from this morning.

Thanks for tuning in. . .

Radio can I ask, the picture with the life boats is that looking back down the ship or forward. I just ask because if it's looking back then that would be the starboard side?? And the last balcony before it juts out would be ours when we sail in November (deck10) and it was interesting to see how the shade appeared. Obviously the time of year will make a difference but it looks like we should get some sun at the front even though the balcony is quite deep.

Really enjoying the review. Thank you :).

Thanks Radio..., may I ask where did you the map from?

MAPM.jpg

I connect my handheld Garmin 76Map Csx to my lap top with Navigation Software. Then I just create a screen shot.

MSC Divina approached the pier at 10 AM and was tied up at 10:30. I left the ship at 11 and I will be heading over to Island Village. . . I can get Free Wi Fi, have some lunch, and take a swim. . .

What beach are you at? We are on the June 25th sailing and are looking for a beach that is close to the port, this seems to fit what we want! Is it Margaritaville or the public beach? Enjoying following along with your post!

The picture overlooking the lifeboats is port side, because the boats are even numbered. On starboard side, we overlooked boat 9. As for the pizza, check on Maureen's thread, http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2352075&page=13 Post #374. She has a picture with the ingredients. EM
