loretta5ue Posted May 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2016 Anyone have any suggestions on what to do about these boxes when you have the beds pushed together I really want to have the beds together but we might just have them set up as twins if we really have to walk over it. kicia Posted May 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2016 Ask Guest Services if it can be removed. These are only on the Fantasy class ships and have been removed while in dry dock. We asked if anything could be done and maintenance came and took it out. Good luck.
2Shoes2Go Posted May 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Twice, we've asked to have it removed. It was done quite promptly! :) They really are a problem for getting in the bed.
maldenmusic Posted May 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2016 Never even noticed them before and have been on 8 Fantasy class cruises:o
Quilcruisers Posted May 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2016 I would have never thought it could be removed. Huge PITA especially having to climb over it to go to the facilities in the middle of the night. Always learn new things here!
loretta5ue Posted May 28, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted May 28, 2016 That's because they can't be removed on the Elation??? Thanks guys for getting my hopes up, now onto any ideas on how to deal with it being there? Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
loretta5ue Posted June 4, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted June 4, 2016 So we're now thinking that we can slide the beds closer to the vanity to get more room on the box side Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

RuthlessBoss Posted June 4, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 4, 2016 Why are they there if they can be removed?
tropicaledrink Posted June 4, 2016 #10 Share Posted June 4, 2016 Why are they there if they can be removed? They are built in to the wall. The first 6 Fantasy Class (all but Elation and Paradise) had these removed on drydocks, as well as had the awful pink closets and doors replaced with a wood grain finish. They have held off on the Elation for whatever reason. Given that her next dry dock is nearly a month long, I'm hoping these will be going. And for anyone's who is curious, Elation also still has the slide that dumps in to the main Lido pool, as well as the aft pool. No water works. Betsybill Posted June 4, 2016 #11 Share Posted June 4, 2016 Anyone know if these boxes are still on the Fantasy? If they are, will they be removed before she goes to Mobile ?

Purvis1231 Posted June 5, 2016 #14 Share Posted June 5, 2016 I was just on the Elation. The life vest boxes are not that big of a deal Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app We have sailed on the Elation several times and I agree the boxes are not a big deal. We stack stuff on top of them. We always have the beds in the king configuration.
rewster cogburn Posted July 22, 2016 #15 Share Posted July 22, 2016 We cruised Elation last week and they were gone. This made a big difference in the cabin and really gave it a bigger feel.

elainmir Posted July 24, 2016 #17 Share Posted July 24, 2016 I hate climbing over things to go potty ..usually I don't have on my glasses which = an accident involving broken toes or bruised shins. I hope they are all gone :D

jenms2000 Posted August 31, 2016 #19 Share Posted August 31, 2016 Got off of Elation on 8/22 and the box was in our room on Main but not in our friend's room on Upper. Sent from my iPad using Forums
BigBowMama Posted September 3, 2016 #20 Share Posted September 3, 2016 Just got off on 9/1 and the box was in our cabin, M191. However I barely knew it was there. We had the king bed and upper pullman set up. We pushed the king against the window to have more floor room and we used the box like a shelf to hold stuff. It really wasn't a big deal at all. loretta5ue Posted September 4, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted September 4, 2016 I saw a YouTube video where the staff put the 2 beds together against the wall with the head by the bathroom - it seemed weird to me, but then I realized it was to see the TV Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
