cormike1 Posted July 8, 2016 #26 Share Posted July 8, 2016 Thanks for your pictures! We are on her for 24 days in Sept. doing a Med cruise and are so excited. Your pictures just added to it. It looks beautiful. We were on the Eurodam this past Feb. and they had added the 2 pianos and it was a favourite place of ours to go and listen. I was glad to see it is on the Oosterdam also. Thanks again for your review.
Boytjie Posted July 8, 2016 #27 Share Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) They also installed a connecting door between ours and the neigbour's cabin, which resulted in considerable noise seeping through. Beware of that if you choose a connecting stateroom, like ours. ( 6136). That is surprising as we have had a number of connecting cabins on different ship (and cruise lines) and never had a noise issue. The Retirement home schrimp cocktail is still available in abundance. I guess I was old even when I was young. ;) Edited July 8, 2016 by Boytjie
Boytjie Posted July 8, 2016 #28 Share Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Thanks for making the photos available. I haven't sailed on a Vista Class yet, but it appears that that cabin (along with other VC and VD cabins) have always been connecting according to the HAL deck plans. Anyone know for sure? I looked at some non-HAL sites for Oosterdam deck plans thinking not all may have been updated yet and that cabin does not show as a connecting cabin - even though others are. So it seems to be a new change. I wonder why they would do that? Edited July 8, 2016 by Boytjie
marysb Posted July 8, 2016 #29 Share Posted July 8, 2016 YES!!! Just off the Oosterdam 5/24, for the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would think these benches are worth keeping!??! The blue ones look like they were painted by a kindergarten class. They are hideous Ha ha, those ugly benches were the first thing I hoped to see gone, too! Despegue Posted July 8, 2016 Author #30 Share Posted July 8, 2016 Since we don't frequent specialty restaurants, I didn't take pictures of the Pinnacle Grill, however, I am fairly certain that the metal chairs are replaced. The small plates are labelled if I remember correctly. But they are also quite easy to identify what it is..lfruit plate, GREEK mezze with dolma and hummus, Tomato-Mozarella plate, etc... We will be on Eurodam next week, will make comparisons afterwards😀

Rare Lady Arwen Posted July 15, 2016 #32 Share Posted July 15, 2016 Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We will be on Oosterdam for 12 nights in May and it's so nice to see a preview of her re-furb.
