drinks at dinner

I'm going on Breakaway in a few weeks and have read that sometimes you don't get a drink until you are 1/2 way or more through your meal. I have therefore decided to bring drinks with us to diner. I usually only drink water with dinner, so my question.. Is there water on the tables when you sit down or will I have to order it. If it is on the tables, I can bring in a 2nd drink for someone in my group.

Never had a problem at all getting drinks or water on NCL...

We have never had an issue getting drinks- even bar drinks. We always ask to order our drinks before we even order from the menu so they always get right on it! :)

Like others said, you will have water right away, and it will be refilled quickly as needed without you having to ask.

It's only bar drinks that take a while. Water is IN the dining room, so you can get that whenever you want. If you want a cocktail, I'd advise bringing one with you, so you have something to sip until the next one arrives!
