As you can see, Butlers are not specifically addressed. They are NOT included in the tipping scheme, so tip what you feel their service is worth to you. Some folks NEVER use them, and don't tip. Some folks ask them to unpack, bring them this and that and the other....hopefully, they tip well for special requests!

 

Honestly...you will know the value of their service...tip accordingly!

We tip the butler $10 pp pd. If he sets up a party in our suite, we figure out what the food and beverage for this would have cost on land and tip him the equivalent of 20% on the party.

Actually butlers are addressed in the gratuity guidelines that are on the Celebrity site. This is why you pay more for staying in a suite.

 

Just like your room steward, waiter etc you can always tip beyond this and provide a specific tip for them either through your shipboard account or by cash.

 

How much more we would tip would depend on factors such as what we thought of the butler and what we asked assistance for.

 

Don't overthink this. Just figure out what you think during the course of your cruise.
