Grand Princess Full Length Windows

I'm thinking of a cruise on the Grand Princess. I've heard they have window cabins in the aft that have full length windows without a balcony. Is that true ?

I've looked on the deck plans, but, don't see them anywhere. Has anybody stayed in one of those rooms ?

Grand has "Window Suites" on the starboard side of the Fiesta Deck. Maybe you mean those? They have large windows, (but not floor to ceiling), and no balcony. There are 7 such suites numbered 301-315.

And Aloha Deck has some aft cabins without balconies. But the windows are tiny. Not at all what you are describing.

The cabins with full length windows are actually forward on Lido deck, L303 through L308 and are almost 40 sq ft larger than a typical ocean view. These cabins are essentially the same as S702 and S704 on the Golden, except on the Golden these cabins are fitted out like the adjacent suites wth marble counters and nicer wall coverings. They are typically just a few dollars less than the cheapest balcony. Edited by IECalCruiser

No floor to ceiling window cabins aft on any Princess ship.

The window suites are mid ship and I think there are 7 of them?

They have picture windows that are approx 4' X 4'. No floor to ceiling windows there either.

There are also the cabins listed above in post #5.

The two WS windows are essentially the same size as an oceanview cabin.

Correct. I booked one of these on Lido for a Hawaiian cruise last year because I wanted to experience a floor to ceiling cabin but we were upsold to a window suite for a really good price so we never got to experience one of them. They really are only a few dollars less expensive than a balcony so they really aren't a bargain. I think they would be best suited for Alaskan cruises and I am looking forward to booking one again in the future.

We have only stayed in one on the Golden in 2009 when they were installed.

Thought they were a little bigger then the OV but its been 7 years and you know how that goes.

So it seems like L303 to L308 have full length windows. They're not Aft, but, center. Has anyone actually stayed in these rooms ? Are they actually floor to ceiling windows ? Any help would be appreciated.

I have one of these booked for October - Hawaii on Grand Princess. Excited to experience it. Am a little leary of the motion being so high up as I've read going out of and into San Francisco can be a bit rough, but I take meclizine when I cruise anyway. Wouldn't have chosen this expensive of an OV but had an offer for free OV through the casino so, of course, picked the highest category!

I visited a friend who was in one of these cabins. They had booked an Oceanview Guarantee and scored one of these cabins. It was very large and with virtually the whole end wall of the cabin made of glass, it looked fantastic. :)
