Miami cruise port parking

The port itself has parking....pricey tho! I know there are some "off site" parking lots...but it requires transportation between the lot and the port! Some hotels have a deal where you stay the night prior and leave your car with them.....again, transport to port is needed. A taxi from a Miami hotel near the port runs about $15 or so.

We always park at Premier Parking at 1415 NE 2nd Ave in Miami. (premiercruisepark@bellsouth.net)This is a parking garage, 4 or 5 stories high. When you come in you are directed to which floor by the attendant who checks you in. You are then directed into a parking spot. You take your keys with you and have a short wait for the shuttle that takes you to the port. They also bring you back from the port.

They emailed very good directions on how to get to them, There is a good size sign on the curb at the garage entrance that says cruise parking. Their phone number is 800-435-3195.

WE haven't cruised from Miami in a while so can't say what the cost is as, who knows, they can go up! But it is a LOT less than parking at the port in a lot or open garage any one can drive or walk into- they are much safer than the port.

Bovine Excrement.

The garages at PortMiami are completely secure. No one is allowed in or out once the cruise ships leave each afternoon. No way that can be said about any offsite lot, especially at the above address as that lot will be open in the evening when there is an event at either the AA Arena or the Performing Arts Center.

OP, please go over to the Florida Homeports Board where you will see plenty of horror stories about parking in downtown Miami: hours-long waits for shuttles and keys missing once finally getting to the lot (virtually all the offsite lots require you to leave your keys). You will quickly find it in your budget to pay the $20/day to park in a secure garage at the Port--worth it just to be able to be on your way home as soon as you get off your ship.
