Laundromat prices on Grand Princess

How much does is cost to do a load of laundry on the Grand Princess? As in, how much for the washer, how much for the dryer, and how much for detergent? I'll bring dryer fabric softener sheets, but do I need to provide the detergent?

It's $3 per load to wash and $3 per load to dry. Don't know about the detergent as I bring 4 Tide pods with me and fabric dryer sheets. You use your S&S card to purchase everything.

The last time my wife did it she thinks the detergent was $2.00. I think you can get travel packs for a lot less.

We bring the detergent packs that have detergent/dryer sheet combined.

Thanks to all of you. Last time I did laundry on board, back in the dark ages, the machines took quarters, so it's good to know I can use my S&S card. I'll look into detergent pods. We leave on Friday, but I foresee one more emergency shopping trip.

If you don't want the Tide Pods, you can get the single packets of Tide at WalMart in their travel section. I think they are .97 cents. It's cheaper to bring your own than to purchase them on the ship. Even though we get free laundry, I'd rather do my own - I don't like people touching my undies.:D

I found laundry sheets which contain your soap and softener in one sheet. I remove them from the box and just put what I think I'll need for a trip in a Baggie . No leaking to worry about .

Thanks for the suggestions. I hope someone besides Tide makes them because DH is allergic to Tide. I'll check Walmart today. I'll also look for the detergent/softener sheets.
