Thermal Suite Pass with Holland America Visa Points

Has anyone used points from the Holland America Visa (through Barclay's) to obtain any experiences on board?

 

I think the thermal suite pass is an incredible deal, but I don't know how this will work.

 

My cruise on the Volendam departs 14 September from Vancouver. If I redeem the points for the thermal suite pass, how do I link my specific cruise to this deal?

 

I haven't been able to locate an FAQ to answer this, so I would appreciate any information or experiences you have to share. Thanks!

We have used the HAL/Barclay points to buy beverage cards and "excursion" credits. They just ask for your 6-character booking number. Edited August 19, 2016 by catl331

I haven't redeemed points for the thermal suite,but I have redeemed for other onboard services( casino, Pinnacle,Shorex credit,beverage card.

When you redeem the points for onboard you will need the date of sailing, ship name and your booking number.

You must redeem points at least 15 days prior to sailing. You can do this online at their website or by phone.

Do remember, though, that if you let your points build up, then use them toward the price of a cruise itself, you get a better rate of return.

The more points, the higher the rate.

 

It's something to consider, along with how fast you tend to acquire points, and how often you cruise.
