Can anyone tell me if Elite members get the same as Diamond members on RCCL.

With a lounge between 5pm and 8.30pm, and 3 drinks loaded onto your card to use at any bar at those times if you prefer.

Addressing your inquiry--at the moment it is the third most recent post below yours--on this forum now... It also provides you with a link to the Captain's Club section of Celebrity's website; you'll find a complete listing of the benefits associated with each of Celebrity's five loyalty membership tiers there... The benefits as an Elite member are similar to--but not the same as--those you enjoy as a Diamond member in Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor Society...

Most evenings, Celebrity stages a cocktail party for Elite, Elite +, and Zenith members from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM... They do not load drink vouchers to one's Sea Pass card but, if the number of potential guests at the Cocktail Party exceeds the comfortable capacity of the venue [on Solstice Class ships, the event is typically staged in the Sky Lounge/Deck 14 Forward], they will issue three drink coupons per eligible member per day for use--during the same hours with the same drink menu--at most other of the ship's bars for those who prefer an alternate setting...

There is no 'Elite lounge' as such. Most of the time an area of the sky lounge is open from about 5pm to 7pm with a menu of drinks including beer, wine and some cocktails. There are also some tasty little snacks served.

 

If there are too many Elites on board then you will be issued with coupons to be used at one of several bars during the cocktail hours.

 

Other perks include an 'Elite' breakfast served in one of the speciality restaurants, some free laundry and pressing and a few other discount coupons.

 

There is a Captains Club host who usually is very helpful and will organise a few additional Elite events such as a galley tour, a helipad sailaway, a cocktail evening with officers....These are just examples, your cruise may offer different. On boarding you will find a letter in your stateroom listing all events and timings on your cruise. There are no separate invites so keep this letter to hand!

 

With so many guests having drinks packages we have found the Elite events a little quieter on the last few cruises but equally social and pleasant. Having D+ status on RC and E+ on Celebrity we find the Celebrity events nicer, we do miss the free photographs though!

Yes, with one caveat- You WILL receive reciprocal status and be treated exactly the same as those who have earned D status on RC, but it doesn't just happen automatically. You need to contact RC, give them your Captain's Club number, and request a Crown and Anchor number and then have that number attached to your booking. When you do that, it will show that you reciprocal status, giving you all the perks of Diamond.

You are correct--reciprocal status recognition is not automatic--but, if she has not already done so, she needs to contact Captain's Club--with her C&A number(s) in hand--to enroll in Celebrity's program... It is those membership numbers that then, in turn, need be associated with her Celebrity booking...

 

Same process in reverse!

Whether one is diamond and wondering about reciprocal elite status, or is elite and wondering about reciprocal diamond status, my point was that yes, a person who has status via reciprocity will get the same exact benefits as the person who has status via points earned through actual cruising on that line. Doesn't matter how you get the status, you'll be treated the same. That's the gist of what I thought the OP was asking. My other point was to clarify that reciprocity isn't recognized automatically, you have to ask for it.

There will be a letter in your cabin when you arrive explaining when and where the Captains Club events will be located. They also will include the coupons which can be used on board and these coupons are given per person assuming both are Elite.

 

Because of the variety of perks in both Captains Club and C@A, some like Celebrity's perks, some Royals. Depends on your tastes and needs.
