I'm in USA and I keep reading about various discounts from different travel agents. Though I have never been on a cruise before, I have come to the conclusion that most do not pay the brochure price for cruises. Viking has been offering 2 for 1 promotions most of the time. One which I took advantage of. Are these TA discounts on top of that?

The 2 for 1 Promotion is ongoing and nobody ever pays the regular fare. It's a gimmick. My TA gives 15% discount on top of that. We are not allowed to post our TA info on this forum.

I wish I had a different TA for our River Cruise. We only got a 50.00 OBC. We used a different TA for the Ocean Cruise and it's amazing what we have saved. I think it was 2500.00. It is an online agency and I can't complain about a thing.

So the 15% discount applies to what? The Viking brochure ( 2 for 1) price, total trip cost, including air, or other? In other words how is it calculated? Thanks
