Fairy called!!!! And we.....

We are cruising 9/12 out of Miami we originally booked a window Rivera for $756 the next day we called to upgrade and we actually had a casino offer (second time we get a casino offer first one was back in Fed free 12 day cruise) so we took it and brought down our price to $694 plus $62 OBC for upper deck, SWEET!

 

Well today i got a call from the FAIRYYYYYY yay!!! For $500 for a total of $1206 plus $62 OBC they would upgrade us to a grand suite. Now me being a very smart man I did what any other smart married man would do and I asked if I could talk to the wife first lol. The rep said he would email me all the info so I can go over it with my other half. Good thing I did because I was thinking she would say no way I'll use $500 to gamble but nope she said book it "it's not every day we can get a suite for $1200 for 4 people" previously when I had check just for kicks and giggle the suites were going for $2100

 

So very excited !!!

So its really $300 for 4 people ? That's an excellent price... Are you on the Sensation ? I'm on that cruise with a casino rate and never hear from the upgrade fairy :(

 

We kept the original offer.. interior cabin .. figured it was only 5 days...

Man I love stories like this! But I keep wondering...what is their criteria for selecting who will get an upgrade offer? or is it pure luck? Do they just start going down the list and the first one who says yes gets it? I wish I knew...

I was in a wrap-around on the Magic earlier this month on a casino bounce back. It was wonderful!!

 

Now greedy me, I'm hoping that we'll get a Pack N Play offer soon. Don't they usually come out in September or is that just wishful thinking?

Thanks everyone! Yes it's an awesome deal. Not sure what the criteria is for the upsell fairy to call but this is the first time we have been called, crossing my fingers that now that we have been called and accepted the offer that we are now on some sort of upsell list for future cruises
