Villefranche to Nice to Eze Village

We are arriving in Villefranche on Sat Oct 22 from 8 am to 6 pm. We thought we would take the train to Nice and ride the Hop on Hop off once there. Then we would like to go to Eze Village either by train or bus - whichever makes the most sense time wise. Then we will need to get back to Villefranche in good time.

Can someone tell me the trains and/or buses we would need to do this, where we would get them, how much they cost and if this is reasonable to do in the time we have. Any other tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

We used Sylvia Cristo with Alps Guides and enjoyed all Nice, Monte Carlo, Eze and Villefranche had to offer. Heard many stories onboard of missed trains and waisted time. Recommend her service for a group of 6-8

Yes, a good professional driver/guide will certainly get you around with little hassle and is a good option for those wanting to spend several hundred Euros. We (and some others) have posted (more times then we can count) very detailed info on using public transit to get around this part of France...including taking an inexpensive public bus to Eze Village. My suggestion is the use the wonderful CC Search option and just type in Eze or Eze Village!

We also did this and had a great tour. However, we also hired a driver/guide.
