New to Cunard: Sale Question

Hi all! We are thinking of booking our first Cunard transatlantic crossing for the summer of 2017 and we found that the 40% off sale ends just before the time we want to travel. What is the likelihood that there will be a new sale that hasn't been posted yet for summer 2017 besides the free upgrade one that's going on right now? Didn't know if this is like Disney World where there's always a discount if you hang around long enough.

Thanks so much for your help!

None of us are clairvoyant enough to know what sales will be offered.

Sales are all about supply and demand so it's hard to say what will affect booking demand one year out. If a voyage is selling well Cunard has no reason to discount the fares. If the 40% sale ends just before you want to travel then you are looking at high season.

If you are not working with a TA then sign up at Cunard for email notification of promotions. Once you see an agreeable price, book it. You could miss out on a sale because you are hoping for an even better deal that doesn't happen. We recently had a post from somebody who waited and waited for a last minute deal on a sailing this month and then found that the voyage wasn't even listed online - meaning that it sold out.

Cunard goes from one Sale into the next Sale after Sale .

If booking in the US , just book a Sale that you like , then continue to

compare new Sales that pop up until Final Payment .

Unlike most other cruise lines , Cunard often makes you cancel and rebook to take advantage of a better Sale promo .

Cunard allows TA's to discount their rates , that includes the Sale rates . Just comparing rates on the internet , you won't see the discounts .You have to contact the TA as they are not permitted to advertise their discounted rates.

The Military and Shareholder OBC's apply to most every Cunard cruise .
