Well, I don't think anyone has ever accepted an upsell for what they would consider to be an unreasonable amount.

I've read many posts from people who've indicated they booked a studio and were able to upsell for very reasonable prices. For example, I recently read where someone had gone from studio to balcony for $100 total. :D

I've read the same and some of them got some great deals.

I didn't call the upsell number, believe it or not. I just randomly got the e-mail, offering me the upsell. Needless to say, I called them immediately and took it.

 

I LOVED my balcony!
