trackstarsmom Posted September 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2016 Could someone tell me what size water bottles they have in the casino ? Also price of the bottles if you do not have a casino drink card?
Rare BirdTravels Posted September 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2016 If it is provisioned from a US port, it is usually a 20 oz (591 mL) Aquafina. Can't help you with the price because we get it for free.
trackstarsmom Posted September 20, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted September 20, 2016 On the "Jade" last New Years they had very small little maybe 6 oz bottles that said NCL on them only in the casino bar. Does the "Escape" anyone know have the little ones and that are not Aquafina?
seashells Posted September 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2016 Could someone tell me what size water bottles they have in the casino ? Also price of the bottles if you do not have a casino drink card? We would like to know also. RCCL and other lines have 8oz bottles in the casino and they are easy to carry around and fit on the tables. 1 liter water on a table is easily tipped over and costly. Then you have the trouble of moving them from machine to machine IF you don't forget it. Who want's to purchase water when they can get free drinks? rochelle_s Posted September 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2016 On the Epic this past spring you could either get regular 500 ml or 1 litre botltes of water with the casino drink card. Actually I think they were running short on the smaller bottles as I was often just given the larger ones. These were not Aquafina but a European brand. If i recall correctly the bottles were priced at $3.50 and $5.50 each. Rochelle

They are free if you have a casino drink card. They are not included in the UBP. Trellaine Posted September 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Have to agree but i am sure it was a business decision to get Aquafina=Pepsi sole rights to the cruise line. Only other option I know of is Aqua Panna :) which I will be scouting out the five days on the ship. Going to cost me but that's okay.

Nola26 Posted September 27, 2016 #16 Share Posted September 27, 2016 On the Escape last month we had the casino drink card and often ordered the bottles of water along with another beverage. They actually weren't 20oz, they were 16.9oz. That is the standard size when you buy the water in bulk, such as a 6 pack or case qty. You can probably get a glass of ice water for no charge from a casino server.

Rare mking8288 Posted September 27, 2016 #19 Share Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) Pellegrino is (was) available onboard, 750 ml. bottle (25.4 oz.) sized @ $5.50 + 18% restocking price via in-room mini bar. It's typically placed there right next to the big bottle of Aquafina water "for your convenience". Should be available in the bars & MDR/speciality as they used to offer it - in the old days when they had bar steward doing the errands. Just a matter of time, when NCL will switch its "complimentary" casino bottled waters to its own private label - and premium label for an upcharge to boost profit. :D Don't laugh :p Edited September 27, 2016 by mking8288
Trellaine Posted September 27, 2016 #20 Share Posted September 27, 2016 Isn't this a sparkling water? kind of like a soda? Yes its carbonated. Go for the Aqua Panna which is spring. Crisp tasting :)
trackstarsmom Posted September 27, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted September 27, 2016 I would think the casino would want people drinking alcohol so they gamble more. With that being said I'm surprised they don't go back to giving out those little bottles of water so they can make more money !!! The post above is right. The bigger bottles take up to much room rather it be while at the slot or playing table games.
seamonkey Posted September 27, 2016 #22 Share Posted September 27, 2016 I can't imaging lugging around a huge bottle in the casino, nor keeping track of it. What is NCL thinking?
Trellaine Posted September 28, 2016 #23 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Now i would pay for acqua panna natural spring water. Please if you find it on board let me know. I can report the jewel sells aqua panna (spring water) on the jewel. It was a chore trying to find it. I had three bottles dropped off to my room . Seems they are about $5.50/bottle and 1litre glass bottles.
fshagan Posted September 28, 2016 #24 Share Posted September 28, 2016 I can report the jewel sells aqua panna (spring water) on the jewel. It was a chore trying to find it. I had three bottles dropped off to my room . Seems they are about $5.50/bottle and 1litre glass bottles. It's actually Aquafina brand water, and is not spring water. It is filtered and sanitized using heat and/or ozone rather than chlorine, but is otherwise well water from where ever the bottling plant is that your bottle came from. I had heard that they sell half liter (16.9 ounces) for about $2.50, a higher price per ounce but much easier to carry around.
