In addition, in our experience, it was too windy the majority of the time at sea to sit on the balcony anyways.* **

*But maybe it was just the weather we had in the Caribbean that week

**We would book the cabin again in a minute.

We were fortunate to occupy a similar cabin on Lido deck - L108.

I've attached an image that I hope helps to put the solid metal balcony rail in perspective for you relative to the seating.

This was the first 'non-glass' balcony cabin for us, and I never felt it detracted from enjoying any views at all.

You actually find yourself standing at the rails walking around the substantial length of the balcony most of the time.

These four balconies (Lido/Marina 107/108) are ridiculously large - moreso the Marina deck balcony as it has a huge open expanse jutting out over the bridge below.

You could easily host a gathering for 30+ and not feel crowded at all.

Additionally, the slanted metal facing on these balconies helped to deflect the wind up/over.

This helps you to comfortably enjoy the balcony sailing into/out of ports and (depending on prevailing wind) while underway at sea.

We have booked several future sailings in forward facing balcony cabins on Royal as a result of enjoying this experience so much.
