Woodfaerie Posted September 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2016 I am sailing with my adult granddaughter the end of Oct and will be on the Glory for Halloween. We like to have fun and get in the spirit of things. Do people dress up? Is there trick or treating in some way?( I wouldn't mind bringing some wrapped candy) We were wondering if there are any specific parties where you can wear a costume, anyone have any input? I figure we would at least start with door decorating....

Our cruise had all types of activities, pumpkin carving contest, costume contests for adults and also for kids, trick-or-treat for kids, party for kids.....whole ship was decorated. Some people decorated their doors, too.

crusinpsychRN Posted September 25, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2016 I went as a Carnival excursion guide. I made up the sign just like they do to find them at port. I was doing cave tubing. Had water shoes, an inner tube around my hips and a fake butt with a thong bikini. The fake butt got me chosen as one of 20 to go on stage. (You should have seen the scene of me trying to get out of the cabin door wearing the inner tube! Couldn't go to dinner in the MDR wearing the tube so ate on Lido.) There was a party of 8 dressed like a vampire wedding party. Said it took them 3 hours to do makeup. The guy who won wore a sarong, a bikini top, a flower in his hair and a head band. He introduced himself as Millie. Must have taken all of 5 minutes. The vampires were mad as heck! 3 guys went as Muskateers in very richly adorned outfits. When the Bill Clinton mess was going on I had a blue dot on a stick like the ladies had in court to cover their faces.
poobears Posted September 25, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2016 We are going to be on Triumph for Halloween. I haven't decided if I'll dress up or not. I bought one costume but it was too big. Tried another but it didn't fit either, was a little small in the sleeves, fit great ever where else. Costumes never fit me right. Think I might skip dressing up. Kids have their costumes ready, they are so excited.

Igerster Posted September 28, 2016 #16 Share Posted September 28, 2016 I love cruising on Halloween. I will be again this year. They decorate the ship, have costume contest and special giveaways in the casino. I think they have trick or treating for the kids, but not sure as I don't have any.
