Ocean Dancer Posted October 8, 2016 #51 Share Posted October 8, 2016 Lol,a lot of experts on here that probably have done worse things with their own children (or DONT have children at all)but are sitting high and mighty telling other parents whats right and wrong. This happens all the time.Wether you like it or not and everyone lives in the end.If you put a two yr old in a high enough pack and play they are going nowhere...Wow!Theres a lot worse things happening in the world then what this OP is looking to do and prolly does all the time..Loosen up just a little bit.Cruise critic police..Enjoy your cruise the way you see fit O.P. Your post is immature and makes no sense. How old are you?
toxicfairy Posted October 8, 2016 #52 Share Posted October 8, 2016 All I can think of is that little girl that was kid napped out of her bed a bunch of years back while her parents went to dinner and left her ( and her sister maybe?) asleep in their hotel room while on vacation. They said it was a typical thing to do. Well not any more I mean they went home from vacation with out their child. You are not at home , these aren't your neighbors , these are strangers from every walk of life and they don't run a check on you as you come onto the ship. I realize in the USA we do things differently then people of other countries but this still seems frightening. Lets say you leave baby sleeping in his porta crib in the cabin and you listen in on the monitor while you're at dinner . You hear some one in the room , OR you hear baby choking, OR you hear baby fall , OR... what the heck are you going to do?? Run as fast as you can and hope the baby is ok when you get there? michaelaz Posted October 8, 2016 #53 Share Posted October 8, 2016 (edited) This is appalling! You cannot leave your baby in your cabin while you go off anywhere, whether to eat or not! Get a babysitter or take the child with you to the dining room. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS , If having your baby on your ruise "crimps" your style and you cant afford a baby sitter, stay home Edited October 8, 2016 by michaelaz
ColoradoGurl Posted October 8, 2016 #54 Share Posted October 8, 2016 Your post is immature and makes no sense. How old are you? I haven't read all the posts but the fact that this poster spells "probably" "prolly," made me discount whatever advice they gave, lol. CapeGal Posted October 8, 2016 #55 Share Posted October 8, 2016 OMG! You are kidding right? Leave your baby alone asleep on a cruise??? Please consider seeing if they have sitters where you can leave the child. I know RCCL has wonderful childrens programs. Do NOT leave your baby alone to go to dinner! We want to go dining and the Baby is sleeping at the stateroom, and we want to hear when the baby cries in the cabin.

Pack and plays don't come in different heights. Oh sure, there are worse things happening in the world but if something would happen to their child, it would be the WORST thing in the world to them. Clearly you have never seen aPnP. One they sure as heck do NOT come in different heights and 2 yo is going to be able to tip one over or climb out of one in about 30 seconds flat. No not everyone 'lives in the end'. The OP will not be home where such things may be common, typical and standard. Your admonishing of the rest of us explaining that this was at best, a terrible idea and at worst, against cruise line policy does the parents exactly zero favors.
