Flossie1 Posted October 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2016 We disembark in San Francisco on 22 October. Can you let me know whether there are walk up shuttles for the airport at the port or do we need to book in advance. Cheers
CruiserBruce Posted October 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2016 (edited) If you look over on the West Coast Departures board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=413 your transport options are discussed frequently. I would NOT expect walk up shuttles to be available at the port. Taxis yes, shuttles no. Edited October 5, 2016 by CruiserBruce

I didn't realise there was so much on these boards that I just didn't know about. Thanks again for your help. :)
pris993 Posted October 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2016 I am sure anyone using an airport shuttle at the Pier in San Francisco, has pre ordered.... there are plenty of taxis though. We always do a taxi, we live about 10 miles south of the airport, generally costs about $120 for a taxi.
Flatbush Flyer Posted October 5, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2016 You can preorder something like "super shuttle" or it's town car division, "Execucar." Some folks will suggest Uber. Given the various issues with this service, I'd pass on that option. BTW, why waste an airfare? Stay in SF for a few days. Great city for tourism.
