For me the sea days are fine, it is the missing Bora Bora and Moorea that would stop me on the itinerary.

Yes you're right, that's a bit of a disappointment for this repositioning.

I can see why they avoid tender ports though, the ship is too large for an tendering process that doesn't eat into half the day to get ashore.

Yes could be the reason. Not sure of the dock facilities in those ports of call but could be a capacity issue like Lifou?

Papeete has a deeper water dock but Bora Bora and Moorea do not, very shallow ports inside the reefs.
