chengkp75 Posted October 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2016 Looks like LNG will the fuel of the future for large ships. Maybe yes, maybe no, certainly in the short term. The cruise lines are building the ships hoping that this future demand will induce providers to create the infrastructure needed to supply the LNG. Time will tell whether this works or whether the cruise lines will have to pony up for supply infrastructure the way that Aida has for their cruise ships (providing an LNG fueled "shore power" barge for port calls), or TOTE (which has purchased exclusive fueling equipment for their terminal in Jacksonville).
