Just catching up on your review. Your photos are fantastic!!! Looking forward to the rest. BTW, we ate at JiJi's on the Carnival Sunshine and it was BY FAR the best meal that we had on our cruise. Thanks for bringing back those wonderful memories! :D

We were followed by hundreds of birds flying over the wake that the ship produced ...

 

 

I then got changed for dinner. We usually went to the red frog pub for a pre dinner drink. I had a raspberry mojito and then I would go along to the desk on deck 5 before going into the restaurant on deck 3. There was usually a very long queue at the check-in desk on deck 5, I do not like this system at all. What is the point of anytime dining if you cannot get a table when you want one. This system also caused all sorts of chaos, and lots of unhappy dinner guests. This is one thing they really do need to sort out.

It was late again when we finally got into the restaurant because of this chaotic system. Also when you got into the restaurant late you were them rushed through your dinner because the staff wanted to get rid of you it seemed. This happened a few times throughout the cruise.

Because the next day was a sea day we stayed up really late. We had a look at the Liquid Lounge and had a drink in there and I found myself checking out the pizza at 1.25am :eek: .

 

 

There was quite a few late night revelers getting pizza at this ungodly hour, not just me your honor. :D

 

 

According to my time on the photos it would seem I went back to the night club. I must have been looking for my brother/cocktail no 7.

As usual I will show you the view from my balcony this morning. Notice I had a lie in after the late night before...

 

 

 

 

So I got dressed and met my brother for breakfast. We were going to the horizons restaurant for the sea day brunch which is what I was looking forward to after seeing it in reviews over the last couple of years.

When I got to his room he was still asleep so I decided we would go later on nearer lunchtime.

I went to book seats at the Imax Theatre. We wanted to try it out and thought that the sea day would be a good day to do it. I booked seats for the 1pm showing of "Deep Water Horizon"...

 

 

I then went to sit and read and have a coffee on the comfy chairs looking down on the pool area....

 

 

At 11am we went to the restaurant to have the brunch I was now ready for. I had an orange juice and selection of pastries and them I had steak and eggs. It was really nice....

Sorry it looks as though the time on my camera is still out by an hour. So here we are seated in the imax at 1pm....

It was a really good film and the sound and picture in the theatre were absolutely amazing. I would recommend going to the Imax to watch a film, it was really a great experience.

 

After the film we both went on skyride again and then I went to relax and read on my balcony. The sea was really calm and relaxing....

 

 

 

I then went to get a drink before the show in the atrium...

They had some interesting things on the screen in the bar....

 

 

Tonights show in the Liquid lounge was called Amor Cubano. It was all to do with the Latin sounds of Cuba, and a Caribbean dance romance, as it says in the Intro.

It was another really good show and the singers and dancers did a fantastic job again.

In the atrium they had "string Classics with Dolce Trio" performing these were also really good...

 

 

We then went to dinner, I know you all know by now that I really am crap when it comes to taking pics of the food before I eat it. :D

Anyway I did get a pic of dessert bitter and blanc...

 

 

I managed to get a pic of the menu on the way out though. I had the beef wellington for my main course. It was good but not great...

 

 

I had the Asparagus soup and the Alligator fritters to start and they both were excellent...

After dinner we went to the Havana bar as the cast from the Cuban show were carrying on the entertainment in the bar lounge there.

 

 

It was standing room only and I did not have a good view ...

 

 

Outside in the Havana pool area there was seating free and you still could hear the band outside pretty good...

I really like the fact that the Havana area is open to the public after 5pm. It is a really nice area and not too busy at night....

 

 

 

I then went back to the room to find this sitting on my bed...

 

 

 

 

I then went to the piano bar for a last drink as my brother really liked it in there. Then off to bed after a drink on my balcony listening to the sounds of the sea at night, what could be more perfect. :)
