5280mom Posted October 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Is there a Global entry line yet at Port of Miami? I cant seem to find a clear answer - no kiosks but separate line to show your card? We cruise in three weeks, would be nice to use this since we paid for it. What is the set up in Fort Lauderdale, we cruise in and out of there in January. Thanks for any info from someone who has recent experience. Sent from my iPad using Forums
royalcruz Posted October 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2016 As of last month, Miami did not have Global Entry. Ft Lauderdale has an express line for Global Entry card holders returning from cruises.
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2016 As mentioned no global entry at Port of Miami but there are separate lines at Port Everglades. They don't use kiosks but you just show your passport and global entry card to the local immigrations official. Keith

Keith When I returned to Miami from a Fathom Cruise to Cuba in September of 2016 I noticed a GE sign. I inquired about GE and was quickly ushered to a different line. We didn't use kiosks so it was more like a fast track to the head of the line. Fathom is a Carnival operation - so it was at Carnival's facility that this occurred... Returned to Carnival's Terminal E (Echo) on Sunday November 28th and saw the Global Entry sign over the far right queue (no kiosks anywhere that I could see). The line was full so I asked an attendant that was managing lines when they would be implementing Global Entry. She immediately dropped the rope and escorted us to the head of the line and told the CBP officer "They're Global Entry". Each person in your party must have their global entry card in hand or no dice. The CBP officer looked at the cards, took the 6059B declaration form and we were out of there in about 60 seconds from start to finish. Plenty of amazed looks from the people standing in the lines. ElleDeeCee Posted January 16, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) I just came back from a Royal Caribbean cruise yesterday (1/15/2017) through Miami and there was a global entry sign there. I didn't get to utilize it since there was not a line at customs when I got off as I carried my luggage off. I did notice that they did not have a separate line for GE. You had to go through the regular line and tell the agent when you got up there that you had GE. At least that's what I understood from the people directing foot traffic at the time I got off. They do not have the kiosks like some airports. Edited January 16, 2017 by ElleDeeCee

imluvncruzn Posted February 5, 2017 #13 Share Posted February 5, 2017 FYI: Just off the Carnival Victory out of Miami on Feb.3rd. There was a sign and lane for Global Entry but no Customs Officer manning the lane. So in essence it was "closed". I walked up to the very front of one of the regular lines and spoke to a worker who was directing the line. I told him that I had NEXUS and asked him if we could go through the Global Entry Lane. He directed me to bring my luggage to the front of the line. He stopped the people in the regular line and let us go next.
ElmwoodPark Posted February 6, 2017 #14 Share Posted February 6, 2017 We got off the Navigator of the Seas on Friday (2/3) with Global Entry. We saw a separate line with an overhead sign for global entry. We asked if we could use it and told we could when showing our card. We walked to the front of the line to a closed door though. The customs office was being evacuated due to alarms going off. We didn't know what to do and asked a private security worker and he said to go into the closed door. We had to cut in front of some angry looking passengers who I think had been waiting a long time. I showed the passengers my card and said I had expedited clearance. When we got into the customs hall, there really was no one there but one of the customs officials asked to see our global entry cards and passports and sent us on our way. It was a very chaotic scene though with the evacuation going on.
TravelLovingGal Posted April 10, 2017 #15 Share Posted April 10, 2017 We got off the MSC Divina at the Port of Miami Terminal F on February 18. There were signs for a Global Entry line but it was blocked off. We had our cards and I went to the front of the line and asked about Global Enrty but the attendant at the front of the line said they weren't doing it. ☹️ Fortunately the line wasn't long.
